thats an option too, if you have a place near to you that does belts.. these type belts, as wab mentioned , are heavily used in industrial machinery.. if you cant find an option that works for you, call karata enterprises, ask for jim .. tell him what you got , he will need some measurements & belt info.. but i'd bet he can help , if all else fails .. that guy jim, is MR. BELT DRIVE.. Report post | Post #5 of 7

no. no. go to an industrial belt supply house with your belt. they will measure length, width and count the the teeth and they will cut you one. to the length or width needed. it will cost just about $100 Canadian. i know because i pick one up 2 weeks ago. Report post | Post #4 of 7

Longer Primary Belt Help

As I was getting ready to tack the trans mounts up I decided to check the belt alignment and such and found that my 3"x 144 tooth primary belt is about 4-6 teeth to short. My seat post angle is a little to much to get the trans to come any further foward so My thinking is either cut out the motor...

Hey man, typically you can just take a piece of 3/8" plate, mark your existing hole pattern onto it, then take your new forward control mounts (the ones you are actually gonna use, and put them forward of the holes you just marked, and mark that bolt pattern. Allow enough space for the bolt heads too. Now you can drill your holes in the adaptor plate, then mount your existing controls ...

my best suggestions with that frontend would be cutting the neck gusset, raking it out, and rewelding it, or trading the springer for a shorter one. With the frontend not being tubes, I think it'd be kind of hard to splice without weakening it. Report post | Post #2 of 13

If you have access to a lathe and milling machine go for it. If you are buying the parts, it might be cheaper to buy a completed springer. Report post | Post #2 of 3
