Gas tank rusted inside - Page 2...

I've read on a few differant sites that you can pour about 5 gallons of Coke-a-Cola (not Pepsi) in and let it sit for 48 hours to a week and then rinse it out. I don't want to pour sealer in this tank. I figure if I can get the rust out and then keep the tank full (forever) I should be ok. Thoughts?

If it's old there's shit in the tank.Every bike should have a good filter in the line if your not sure of the filter in the petcock ,add an in line filter. If you can't clean the carbs on the chance this stuff fails than maybe an old bike is not for you. Trust me if your plan is to never have to fix these old bikes or refix maybe an old bike is not for you.

I just picked up the Optimate 4. Usually I have never bothered but this year I decided. Especially with the CBR being a slow starter and the bike that Tommy bought being less then a year old the battery died over winter and was shot.

My batteries last for many many years. in fact I rarely ever buy one. The battery tender comes with a quick disconnect, install it on the battery tender and plug it in. thats all you gotta do. I even plug mine in during the summer.

Michelin Pilot Power 2CTs Pros: -You can tell when the 2CTs are warm -Turn in speed is quicker with the 2CTs Cons -2CTs can get squirley on corner exits (IMO easier to lose control). When they break loose, they break loose! Pirelli Diablo Corsa IIIs Pros: -Corsa IIIs grip inspire confidence.
