I will be doing some sort of modification to fix this. It drives me crazy that you can`t turn on the bed light by itself. I will try and document the mod when I do it so others can copy it if they want. If anyone has any ideas of an easy way to do it, let me know... I haven`t decided yet how to go about it.

After five long months I have finally concluded my lawsuit against GM. I am getting everything back that I originally paid for my 2007 silverado minus the $700. for usage. My dealer is the only reason I am giving GM another chance at my business. They helped me with all the information I needed to resolve my lawsuit. I have an 09 silverado on its way that should be here shorly. I am excited for my new truck. I am hoping for only good things...

Congrats? It is unfortunate you went through that but I am sure you new truck will be better. Mine is over 5 years old and no issues. It has been great!

Did my first one around 300 mi. and I`ve done them every 3,500 since. I would do the first one before you hit 500 mi.

how many miles are you supposed to go on the new trucks before you change your oil? In my old truck i went with the every 3000 miles rule. Also how many miles can i go before my first oil change?

I`ve got one in my 2007 SLT and not had 1 issue with mine. Just keep the drains clean and you won`t have a problem.

You`re referring to the cargo light, right? Depends on the year I do believe. My 03 has a button on the left below the 4WD selector switches.

It`s recommended to change your oil after the first 1000 miles, then there after follow the oil life meter. Alot goes into the programming of that, so take advantage of it.

I have the same thing happening, glad to hear someone else's sounds like that, mine sounds like it's from the door lock area? So far it's just on the drivers side?

try gmpartsdirect.com I didnt have the buttons either, so I bought the part for about $60 or so and did it myself in 5 minutes. there is a plug behind your existing cover, waiting for the cover with the buttons in it. If you can get a part number from the dealer, it will make using the website a whole lot easier. -Steve-o

I don''t know if the new style are the same, but on the 03-07 classic models, with the radio turned off (key on) you could hold the preset 6 button on the radio and it would change your chime volume. You might give it a try and see if it helps.
