I have a 2003 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Regular Cab with a Vortec 4.3L V-6 motor in it. I am looking for an exhaust system, but can`t decide which type to get. I ONLY want to get a Flow master muffler but which type? I want it to sound identical to a v8. I know its not gonna sound exactly the same but i want people to ask me if its a v8 or not. If it wont sound that way..please tell me what I can do to make it sound very good. I want the most...

I am Running the flo pro muffler on my tahoe and i like it. Its not too loud so I dont go crazy listening to it driving down the freeway. They out do flowmaster in performance. I dont know what model it is just 3 in 3 out and side exit tip. Its got a deep tone to it. Its pretty comparable to a magnaflow amd its sound. Its designed to actually flow. flowmaster is pretty much sound only. I forget how much it cost to install but it was way...

i had a toyota tacoma with the 3.4lt v-6 and a flowtech afterburner muffler sounded awsome nice a loud but not ricy a plus was the muffler was only $60 i think from summit when i turn the truck in for the frame rust recall i cut off the exhaust right after the cat and there really wasn`t a difference in the tone other than being alot louder when i stomped on it

I have a dynomax ultra flow on my 6. It sounds just like a v8 up until 2500rpm than after it just screams. It has quite a unique sound. What ever you do, do not put duals on it. They sound worse than a pissed off bumble bee.

Get the Flowmaster regular 40 and dump it under the bed like you said. It will be very loud and probably the best sounding setup for your truck.

I dont know how a 6 cylinder would sound with flowmater on it but with straight pipes it sounds like a pissed of bumble bee, although my friend had a 3.9 v6 ranger that sounded alright and it had flowmater on it, only sounded like a semi-pissed off bumble bee, and i have never heard a 6 cylinder come close to the rumble of a v8

MagnaFlow hands down....do the SS cat back system....the only way to go. Flow masters choke off more than they flow. Matt

Personally I`d get a cat. What ever high flow cat you can find, even if its the cheapest, it will do its job and help your truck for the better. So just pull up summit select your diameter and get you a high flowing converter now. here i`ll even make it easier on you: http://www.summitracing.com/search/.....rice%7cAsc
