Why don't you try the tips first for a few days and see what you think. I put just the tips and really like it. I'm not going to change a thing. You can always put the muffler on later if your not happy with it. Mine is a 6 speed and they do sound different and I have never driven an automatic so I can't tell you what they sound like.

I bought some with buy-it-now from ebay, only to find they really didn't have any. They were $747 which included shipping. I'm willing to pay that amount.

Yeah, the Thrush Outsiders I had way back in the 70's on my
67 Camaro would
look great on my SSR since it doesn't have running Boards. I've done some
searching on the Net but haven't had any luck finding any. If anyone does
please post or PM me. THANKS

good post. As far as the spindles and oil pan on the SSR, they are already set up for the front dif and axles. I've looked into and thought about this since '03, and can see the automatic( though not as fun) , being the
easy way out. Now that GM did the Trailblazer SS, Alot of the engineering is done. The Trailblazer SS has the HEAVY DUTY TORSION REAR. Now just need a donor TB, and SSR.
