Bought my 05 LT new with
3 miles. Now sports 54,621 miles. It will be for sale in October/November--with a "0" deductable and transferable GM warranty good for many miles and months.

if you can live with the mileage penalty , go for the 2500. you will never have regrets towing any of the weights you mentioned, you get all 1 ton running gear and still have a smooth ride.if you opt for the 1500 series look for 4:10's so you have max
towing capacity.

Always something new to learn about. Greatest traveling vehicle ever invented. How many other trucks on the road have the comfort of an Avalanche. How many other trucks can you pull off the road, drop the midgate and then sleep. Me and my kids do this camping all the time. My wife can attest to me spending way more time with the Av.

I've never used anything but 87 octane in my '02 or '04, no pings It's really all the same gasoline but with different additives, I wouldn't waste my money buying premium but it's not impossible a tank full might improve performance. One tank full could clean your fuel injectors then go back to economy grade ?
It won't hurt your truck to try it, just your wallet.
