im looking to go as extreme as i can but on a tight military budget. looking to have some good zombie protection. natural disiaster ready. and to just get the heck outta dodge but too bad the avy is so electronic, a nuclear emp blast would render it useless. what roof basket do u suggest?

i was leaning towards the Yokohama Geolander  A/T-S vs the  latitudes as there is not that many reviews for them and they seem like they are more for SUV like honda pilots at least thats what are mainly reviewed.

I have had mine for a couple years now and really like it.  It is the older model.  Yes, it changes the look of the Av, but works well for me when I travel for work, etc.   It also has a light inside the back.  I do get some leakage around the rear window...not sealed well.  That needs to be completely redone. To deal with some of the side bin issues I bought Diamond Pete's...

is the picture you have of the 265's with the leveling kit also? I have a 2007 z71 and am still undecided if i should just put 265 bfg ats with the 18s and leave the suspension alone or do what you did. Did the leveling kit mess up your alignment or ride?

Check out Hankook Ventus RH06s before you buy. I've got a set of 255/55/20s on my truck and have been very satisfied so far. I bought a set for $640 mounted, road hazard, lifetime rotate & road-force balance. They are supposed to be a 50K mile tire; at least that's the warranty they have. So far they have great wet & dry traction, are extremely smooth, and very quiet. I don't know how the snow...

The original tires - (Good Years) were the cheapest tires that the factory could get that would hold air.  They were very poor performers and after a couple of years, the rubber gets really hard and they will not dig - which is not a good thing with a four wheel drive vehicle. I have had two set's of Bridgestone REVO's on my Avalanche and neither set lasted more than 30,000 miles, maybe more like 24,000 before they...
