My very first mod was performed in the service bay of the dealership. Iremoved the relay that enabled the daytime running lights to function. Forsome strange reason, I don't like GM telling me that I must have them on.Durwin

Is there such a thing as a BAD mod for a Avalanche ? Just a question of taste or is there a code that people follow when making modifications to their avalanches...? What do you think ?

When I sold my 07 Av, I removed the HID fog kit. It is just sitting in my garage and I can't see myself using it for anything else. I will sell the kit for $100.00 It includes, 2 5000k HID bulbs with clips 2 25W ballasts with all the connectors and harness. I used it for 3 months. Send me a PM if you are interested.. Lenny

ok, gotta 05 avy, installed hids & i have an alarm. my low beams flash everytime i arm/disarm the system. main problem is that sometimes the left light is lite right isn't, right is lite but left isn't& sometimes neith works. i was told i need a relay, is this true & anyone know how?

I just got a set of new GM chrome nerf bars. I was wondering how the front part of nerf bars hold up to road splatter over time. Should I be getting some mud flaps to protect them? Thanks.

Some time ago I could swear I saw a pic of a low profile bull bar, with only one horizontal bar. Didn't come up above the bumper. But despite my search and review of a ton of threads I can't find it. Any help?

I know starting over is so hard to do. I had got the grill off of ebay. I looked and it doesn't seem to be offered any more. There is a web site that sold them too, but I can't find it now. If I run across it I'll let you know.
