THINKING OF BUYING AN UPLANDER -...

Do not buy an uplander they are the worst cars ever made. I have an 06 and have had nothing but trouble and the dealerships know how bad the car is and play dumb. I vote worst car ever.

Noise from front end, uplader -...

My 2005 Uplander has the front end noise problem. It has been to the Chevy dealer several times, but they state they can't find the problem. An independent mechanic thinks it is the bushings in the steering rack. But these posts give some other possibilities. The steering column joints have been replaced (per a service bulletin), but that didn't help. I also have the fuel gauge problem... drops to empty, but only shortly after a fill...

Wow, it's interesting to see how many people have had problems with this car. My remote doesn't work to open the automatic door or to unlock the car. My rear wiper quit on me as well. I have never seen a car eat through tires as fast as this one. The car shakes at 40 MPH and no one can figure out why. One of the rear seatbelts gets stuck and doesn't work, so you have to start the car, put it in gear, move a foot, hit the brake...

I have an Uplander too that had the same noise and I replaced the wheel bearings and now the noise is gone, you have to replace the whole hub assembly which you can buy online for $110.00. I do do all of my mechanic work to my vehicles. It takes a little over an hour per side. I have an '05 Uplander and I have the same clunking noise. I thought it was my breaks. Should I...

Other than the CD player just starting to refuse to take CDs, I've had little problem. Gas mileage is around 20mpg. There is a tranny sound, which bothers me, but so far it has 50K and seems to be ready for more.

I saw that someone wrote they would love to start a class law suit against GM - I would be very interested in that. I have a 2005 Uplander and have had so many problems with it. The AWD had to be repaired, sliding doors repaired multiple times and still not fixed, radio and steering wheel controls fixed multiple times, had to replace all 4 tires by 20,000 miles, needed a new hub on the right side...

I drive a 2005 Uplander too and lately have been getting the same thing as you.. although I think it says CD Read Error instead. At least you have a DVD in the back, I'm stuck listening to the radio. I will buy a normal car stereo and install it instead of going to the dealer, as I have had a few fast ones pulled on me too. What did you end up doing? Thanks Melliebelle wrote: I'm the ...
