Bad suggestion my friend. The S league is a good idea and its good to include foreigners. The real weak link is the schools. Talent need to be developed young and the sports school intake is too small to build up a critical mass to support a footballing culture. Football is inherently a very tough team sport with high injury and drop out rate compared to sports like swimming. BTW, FAS expenditure is actually very small compared to a lot of...

Benitez and Brown should be odds on for the sack. Next would be Gary Megson and Mark Hughes. City is basically waiting for a big name manager to be available while Hughes warms the seat.

This season is probably the best season for Spurs to challenge for a 4th place. But there is going to be strong competition with Aston Villa, Man City & Liverpool.

My humble opinion is that for the future of Singapore soccer to progress it needs a complete revamp. May i ask you with millions invested and so much media coverage, where is Singapore progressing. At best, we are proud to improve a few notches and hope to be the best amongst Laos, Vietnam, Brunei, Cambodia and SEA countries. Even so, we lost most of the matches than winning. It is all ...
