A totally disinterested observation...... Art claimed that Palin is a "private citizen". When applied to some so evidently in love with limelight the term "private citizen" is an oxymoron. Oh, and who the hell is the good looking one in the White House?

Glacier Bay is just part of it. Yes, there are glaciers still calving into the ocean, but there are also glaciers that have receded back up the valleys (valleys originally carved out by the glaciers themselves. Take a boat ride around Resolution Sound (Resolution Bay) out of Seward. You'll see glaciers, but from a distance. They are well up the mountainside. You know they were once all the way down to the ocean because the valleys and...

Eric,
Go to Alaska and northern Canada, and tell it to the glaciers that have receded drastically during the past few decades. Tell it to the folks in Seattle who haven't seen snow in a couple decades (when I was a kid there it snowed every winter). Tell it to me here in Houston where we haven't had a freeze in a couple decades. We're almost tropical now.
I don't know about the rate ...

In fact, I believe that to be a ludicrous presumption but, again, that's just me. It is effective in that it gets all the "true conservatives" in ...
