Panasonic Firmware? Are there...
Published (2009-11-20 00:34:00)
Ever since Panasonic released the new firmware in their cameras, I am not able to use third party batteries. I don't want to pay over $50 on new batteries. I think that is ridiculous. I'm not too happy that Panasonic is doing this. Are there any third party batteries that will work with the new firmware? Thanks!

As a matter of fact, there is an online store that have batteries that will work with the new firmware. I have bought 2 batteries from them and they work fine! They also last longer! I highly recommend them. There url is www.sterlingtek.com I was able to chat with an online representative who guaranteed the battery would work with my camera. I'd buy from them again!

I have a Panasonic pv-gs85 video camera and it calls for a firewire to transfer the recording saved on tape to a computer. I got the firewire and also a firewire hub because my notebook (which uses Windows Vista) lacks a firewire port. It does not work, the video camera doesn't even show up in the computer when connected. Any solution to this? Thanks.

SX200IS? I am looking to buy a new camera and I have two final options. They are both very similar and I've been reading reviews and such, but I'm still having a hard time making up my mind. The 2 cameras are: Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ7/ZS3 and Canon Powershot SX200IS. I am not an advanced user, I take pictures more as a hobbyist and I want to use the camera for both pictures and video. Please let me know your recommendations, thanks!...

I have the Panasonic TC-P50S1 and even though it is the lower end compaired to the V and G I can honestly say the picture is AMAZING! Blu-ray movies look very good on it. I would highly recommend the Panasonic. I have read reviews and they beat Samsung hands down. The 65 would be that much better than the 50 I have but picture wise they would both look the same and you will not be ...

You can also connect the camera via the red, white, and yellow wire to a tristar dvr. press play and then press record on the tristar dvr - no computer or hard to use software needed. it will copy all tapes straight to the dvr. the dvr can then be used as an external hard drive to organize and rename your personal movies. you can connect it directly to the computer or just the tristar dvr to ...

You are comparing a crop, full frame and a compact camera. That's something totally different.
For video, I'd go with the 7D because of it's frame rates and all you can choose. But it's an APS-C camera, which means your (for example) 18-55mm sees what a 28-90mm would on a...

The drive has failed on this unit. There is a different read head for the Blu-ray vs. DVD content in the drive which is why it still plays DVDs. If it is under warranty (1 year, usually) it will be a quick fix. Call Panasonic.
If it is out of warranty, it may still be ...

The usb cables go bad some times. Is the camera charged and everything? You can go to an electronic store and even Walmart in the photo section and buy a usb SD memory card reader for 8 - 15 dollars.

I think you're asking if it's necessary to take the card out every time you're done taking pics...right? If so, I don't think it's necessary to take it out until it's out of memory. It's like removing the film every time you are done snapping a few pics.
A good ...

Some entry level surround systems have few or even no audio inputs. If you want 5.1 surround, then your surround receiver would need to have an optical (or coaxial) digital audio input (and the Blu-ray player would need an audio output to match, either optical or digital)....
