In what way did his papacy cause scandal?

Isn't this the kind of thing people were concerned about when JFK was

Hiya brother
Anglian,
I have to say, I'm a fan of Damian Thompson's blogs in the Telegraph. He gets it wrong sometimes, but he cuts to the core of our modern controversies very well. Plus, he's a faithful Catholic, very loyal to the Pope, and not some wishy-washy liberal.
I read this one the other day, and personally I think that such acts are dangerous. A bishop ought to have been ...

It is so easy to point our finger @ others in order to detract others from our own sin. It's the old splinter in
your neighbors eye while you have a beam in your own truth at its ugliest. Jesus said, " Why do you notice the splinter in your brother's eye, but do not perceive the wooden beam in your own eye?" Mt7:3. Unfortunately, in this situation, if there are splinters involved they come ...

You are amazing. I am lucky to
compose a thought now and then, let alone a song, let alone carry a note to sing one. However, at Mass, I sing even louder, yet cant carry a note. I feel God should hear that voice he created.
You have been blessed to be able to do this.

Hi
Abba:
Since I was addressing DeborahM's post, I was not actually referring back to yours. But my reflection on your thoughts above would be that, though there may indeed be some modern authors who write as you say, that would not be something that can be honestly and fairly applied in a blanket assertion to all modern Catholic authors.
I only used the known saints for a commonly...

What are you talking about?
Where does Satan fit into what you have stated? Abortion is an
intrinsic evil, that isn't a perception or judgement, but a fact.
What cakes are you demanding? not those tomato looking leaves in the cookies variety?

I should point out that under this new plan, not only will *currently*
married Anglican priests be able to become Catholic, but optional celibacy
will continue to be practiced within the new structure in the future. Like
the
Eastern Catholics, they will be allowed the option of a married
priesthood permanently.
