Keeping cremated remains in a home
Published (2009-12-03 12:10:00)
I agree with the previous post- I sleep below a portrait of my friend Hippolyte who passed away this time last year,( as she didn't like having her photograph taken, I made a portrait of her) but keeping a loved one's ashes in a home-far less on public display- strikes me as ghoulish! ( see my previous post- "What is the Church's policy on cremation for its members?") Terry

Just my observation on reading about this a while back. The Church wants the body at the Funeral Mass if at all possible and then cremation can take place after the Mass. Hope I am remembering this correctly.

My present Missal was good [datewise] untill 2009. I need to get a new one. My present is the Daily Roman Missal [by James Socias.] To be more correct in what I use to be a spiritual daily help, should I get an up-to-date Daily Roman Missal [ by James Socias] or would I be better off [more accurate in adherence to the core Church beliefs] getting a 1962 Roman Missal by the Roman Catholic Church, Father has no opinion on this. Help.

Jesus circumcisn

I'm not sure that Christ was bound by it, considering who he is, but certainly he submitted to it; for by submitting to and dying under the law he set us free from its curses.

Dear Kyria, HERE is a link to some excellent help from the Diocese of Denver's Office of Natural Family Planning. Books can go out of date but current articles such as those on this website with name and contact information can be more helpful. This link allows you to e-mail "experts". Thanks for the question!
