Maybe nobody has responded because I don't think it is clear what you are asking, or if you are even asking anything or just venting! Secondly, this board gets very little traffic it seems. I've posted several times and have not always gotten a response. Not sure why I even have it bookmarked or come back sometimes. At any rate, I wish you the best...sounds like a complicated situation. There...

Just learning this myself. First I clean up the front area completely. With some trial and error I found that having mom roll over as far as she can and then I log roll her the rest of the way is the best for me. She holds on to the bed rail and I brace her with one elbow while I clean her up. Roll and pull the diaper out from under her. I usually have to roll her back down while I get the rest ...

Go for it!!! At least have her visit for a few days or a week, but make sure she understands it's just a visit at this time. If you/she decide it might work out, then do it......nothing is forever, if it does not work out, then you can change the situation later. What's the harm in giving it a go, at least for awhile? I completely understand the need to vent. It doesn't mean we don't love them, but all of this can put a strain on us. I go through this weekly with both my parents (dad 84 and mom 81). If one thing isn't bothering them it's another. My mom says she's falling to pieces while her doctor says she's doing just great. My dad has simply given up. He won't get up out of his chair unless you insist. If ...

nctsfe, Truth be told, anyone can sue anyone for any reason at any time . That said, litigation involving caregivers runs a wide range: neglect, physical or emotional abuse, undue influence and financial abuse. And it is more common than you would believe. Step back and think about the homecare that you're looking to provide - would you be doing so with the intent of being an "...
