Any idea where I can find out where the check valve is and what is the exact name of that part is it vacuum check valve? If it is not in the pump i guess it is along the fuel line?

i think its part of the fuel pump, so u would have to drop the tank. i just don't think u have to replace the whole pump, just the valve

I do feel a german bias for acceleration and lap time numbers. With japanese cars not so much and every european car gets pretty much what they deserve. But with american I always feel like they don't do best they can, so I think you guys are right. The ZR1 deserved at least a 7:30 laptime.

I saw some vacuum operated mufflers awhile back... when you floored it they would open up to a side dump and when you had your foot off the gas they would close... sooo you'd get an open header sound accelerating when you want it

How many miles is on it? Does it need a tune up? Try changing the fuel filter.

it does sound like a check valve. i think the check valve can be replaced seperately from the fuel pump, but don't take my word on it

Real answer, no. Technically you don't NEED to put an aftermarket deck in it. HOWEVER, it is EASIER to install a subwoofer if you do this, IMO. Depending on how much money you wish to spend, you can do it a few ways 1)The cheap way, without a deck. Requires use of a LINE INPUT converter, allowing factory signal to be used to RCAs, and then to your amplifier in the trunk. ...

the 3.5 has different mounts but i helped swap one into an 02 Malibu, there just arrant as many performance parts available yet and you couldn't take the 3.5 a FWD it has a different bell housing and I'm pretty sure the starter was on the other side, you need to find one in a RWD car why don't you just swap in an LS2 and 4L60E instead? or if you have the money go for a 6L80E

I believe the switch on that particular model is one unit. There are notches on the column that contact a "trigger" like device in the turn signal switch in order to turn the turn signal off. If the switch isn't being turned off on its own, its probably time to chunk it and get a new one. Has the column been taken apart recently?
