Nice shooting, great colors. I don't think you need to do to much in the way of CC at all. Maybe if you want to tweak it a little to add something personal that your feeling. Other wise I like it a lot. I see where Huey is coming from when he says the audio is hot, but I think it can be fixed up. Your skills have improved greatly. keep up the good work.

Thanks! I probably won't be doing anything that involves acting... my main focus will be music videos for bands (I'm a musician myself, so I kinda know what I would personally want from a video) and I'll probably do wedding vids and things like that for extra cash, or at least enough to pay for this camera haha. I only spent a few minutes grabbing random footage for this vid. That is the first time I've artistically ever...

Chris- Nice work. It takes time playing around with and finding out the capabilities of new equipment. Once you get that down please share your work when you make a short or something. It also helps you used Sigur Ros' music. They are amazing. I have seen them a few times in concert and they are simply amazing. Thanks for sharing! -Sebastian www.indiegogo.com/one-night

Next time your at the mall, get on the escalator. Jump as hard as you can on the second (maybe third, don't remember) stair. It should stop the escalator dead in it's tracks. The "up" escalators are easier to stop than the "down" ones. At least this used to work. Did it all the time back in the 90's when I was a teenager.

WHOA, you're audio is way too hot. The second video really hurts. If you fried it on location, then there's not much you can do. But bringing it down in post would take some of the bitterness out

Looks pretty good, the only thing that stood out for me was the frame of video bars at the start, it didn't sit very well with the 'old film' look of the rest of the footage.

Faith I recently started another project, "Faith". This short is being produced for my high school film class. I usually post my shorts after completion, however, I thought I would keep this thread up to date regarding the actual production for a change. I liked the TV Mode footage except for the graininess... Seems like the contrast is a bit higher and the saturation of the colors is a bit more in TV mode?

An external microphone would have been good for the interviews in the beginning. As for the video it self, you need to white balance properly and work on your lighting. The video looked way too cheap. The HV20/HV30/HV40s are powerful cameras, so you can do a lot with them if used properly.

I'm hooked. I want to see the movie now. Is it a feature length? You're right about the plot and acting, but that's not always a bad thing in my book. I like your sense of humor and irony. You make it work for you. Nice work.

needs more scratches, maybe patches also, if you can get some loose fabric and overlay it at maybe 10% opacity in some places, to make it look splotchy, kind of like some parts of the film were water damaged. It's a good effect, add it here and there, and in different areas, jumping from different areas, every 10 seconds or so, then don't apply it for 10 seconds. Looks good though

link doesn't seem to be working... And hm, looking at the screen-shot I understand how it's done... Allthough I'd probably do it with probably some fractal noise, colorama and some glow... and depending on the look, I'd throw in a vector blur allthough I doubt it would produce the circular nature of the burns... But it's always fun to see other methods Allthough I'm starting to view the ...
