Took these out bowhuntin last year with my A590 PowerShot........crappy I know. Maybe this year I will lug my 50D with me.

That is really cool. The focus point looks like it's just in front of the deer, but it creates a great effect. The deer looks almost like a ghost. Great job.

Ian Glad you started the thread and it was 8 of us last time "I counted us all out & counted us all back in" The golden glow on #1 is the stunner in that group ~ the light was challenging but had its 'great' moments Here is one from me of the first cut of the set I took. Shows the effect of the wind picking up the sand at low level across the beach & boy did it blow hard...

Nice pictures from above the water. The animal is a little hard to make out, due mostly to the reflection on the water, but what I can see of it, it looks like a curious creature.
