Getting Dusted At The Dirt Track
Published (2009-11-29 07:22:00)
LOL You should come shoot with me on a Saturday night. When I leave the track there is usally a quarter to 1/2 inch of dust on the truck's hood. Usually I end up fighting what looks like snow but is suspended dust in the air as the track is dried out by the last third of the night.

Hi Geoff,
Cracking set of shots in murky conditions, and definately the best I have seen for colours and exposures ,and sharpness.
Nice to see a little space round the cars as in 2,3.
Last Escort shot at 2000iso is more than useable, very little noise .
Looks like the new kit is working very well ,looking forward to seeing Simons now.

Agree, it was fence city, worse where there were some interesting corners, the buggers stuck advertising banners up on the fencing, totally blocking the view. I think the track was set up for Television only, not us poor guys.
Looks like I'll stay with Eastern Creek, not going back to Homebush.
Great shot of the Jack Daniels car.

btw, first pic was...

Nice shots.
Next time when you use flash, make sure the flash is set to second curtain sync. Now your flash shots looks like the cars are moving backwards. Second curtain sync will fix that for you
