Hi Kathy, welcome to the board, I hope you can find some answers here, if not at least some support. I hope that the biopsy turns out to be nothing serious, I didn't have a biopsy, after my ultrasound I was taken direct to the operating room for a D and C. Try not to worry, waiting is the worst part, we've all been through it, if it helps post all your worries and questions here on the board and we will try and answer them. Take...

Kathy, my heart goes out to you, as we understand how frustrating this wait is for you. Like Pixie said, endometrial uterine cancer caught early is a very curable disease. Yet vaginal bleeding comes from many causes, and typically, such abnormalities are not caused by cancer. BUT--because cancer is a deadly disease, atypical bleeding symptoms require vigorous and thorough checking. According to the CDC in 2005, 37,465 women were diagnosed...

Hello

I just got a call from my oncologist and he told me there was no more cancer. It was all contained in the uterus. The ovaries, tubes and lympthnoids were all clear. PRAISE GOD! I will follow up every three months, but he said no need to radiation or cemo. Thank you all for your prayers and support. I have this huge weight lifted and can now concentrate on getting well.

Thank you sooo much for the responses..... I work with surgeons and nurses so today was spent discussing my issues with them - one of the assistant surgeons is also a family doctor and I guess right now my biggest issue is frustration with my family doctor. He never sent me for any tests and only prescribed birth control and depo provera. This should have been looked into a long time ago. But I will deal with that later, advised to call to...

Hi Kathy: I am sorry to hear about your bad procedure experience, and what you are going through in your wait. It is terrible waiting on a biopsy--try to keep busy with other things, but in reality, you cannot help to worry some. Our stories parallel in some ways, I was 43 when I rushed into emergency from severe bleeding, however the hospital refused to investigate, and ...

Hello teresals: I am sorry to hear about your diagnosis and also about your's mother-in-law being diagnosed with cancer too. This has to be a very stressful time for you, because it is such a shock when a person learns they have cancer--but you also have one of its suffering victims in your home. I cannot tell you how I despise this disease. I hate you have to have another ...

Hi Pixie , I handled the brachytherapy much better than the external radiation to the abdomen and pelvis. I don't recall a real big problem with nausea with the implant. Also, I only had one treatment with the implant, so I do not know if the nausea will get worse for you. Prayfully not. But I can say with a definitive "yes"--concerning external radiation to the pelvis; nausea will ...

Gloria, I’m sorry about your cancer diagnosis but don’t understand why you would not want to be treated for this condition. I was diagnosed with uterine (endometrial) cancer in 9/2005, stage 2A grade 3. Even though I have had two recurrences since that time, I do not feel my life has been miserable. I was not treated with chemo but had radiation treatment and am now cancer ...

Hi Leveled, I know how difficult of a time this must be. It is really a shock to learn you have cancer and then all kinds of issues come against you so fast, such as treatment, family, work, etc...I think my diagnosis was a little beyond moderate, but not the last stage--just a category away. As Pixie stated, there are specific stages by which your diagnosis will be classified. If your ...

Hi redbird: Welcome to the forums! I understand what you are saying, and it simply stinks waiting and wondering about such tests. In a way, it is pointless, yet it is unavoidable--who wouldn't be concerned? It sounds like you are in good hands, however. Your doctor appears to be the thorough type, and she is taking diligent steps to determine if cancer is present. You are so right-- ...

Hi erlindar: Welcome. I am so sorry to hear what has happened to your sister. I was in the same position myself and had a very difficult time getting treatment, even here in the United States. I just want you to know your sister is in my prayers. I wonder are there any programs to help with medical assistance in Bulacan or where she resides in the Philippines? We cannot accept forum posts...

Hi Lizizurtx, Welcome aboard. I am so sorry for the loss of your baby. I can only imagine how difficult a miscarriage is to deal with emotionally. I can certainly understand your anxiety--you need answers, and I believe you are taking wise steps to seek those answers. Continue to try to get into an appointment at an earlier date, even just to put your mind at ease. The fact that ...

> Hi Suzeque: Welcome to the forum. Prayfully, you wont need this place in your future. Your feelings are very understandable. Uterine cancer can exhibit a variety of different symptoms, and although long bleeding can signify it; it can also signify other things such as fibroids, hormonal imbalances, endometriosis...I am glad you got a biopsy done, it will give you the answers you ...
