Terrified...........please help!!!
Published (2009-11-23 13:42:00)
Hiya Im so scared. I had DCIS with lumpectomy and 4 weeks of radiation back in 2005. I've been going for my yearly mammograms. I saw my female consultant at the end of April. Around about July time I noticed that the breast affected looked slightly smaller but put it down to the scar tissue/healing process. However more recently the skin underneath looked puckered. I went for my mammogram last week and have to go for a chat with the...

Breast to Lungs
Published (2009-11-21 17:02:00)
Well I am back to this board with not good news. My mother was diagnosed with state II breast cancer two years ago. They gave her 3-4 months to live She is now having chemo and they are hoping that this will give her more time. Has anyone gone...

Hi - sorry you have had to come back with this news. I can only say that one has to live for the day from now on, and regard anything over the prognosis as benefit. I hope the chemo helps with the lung condition.

Published (2009-11-23 09:24:00)
Hello, My name is Wendy. I had Stage II grade B breast cancer with chemo - no radiation as I had only 2 lymph nodes involved. It is now November of 2009 and I really want to stop taking this as my hair is falling out amongst other side effects not seen etc. I wanted to know...

Hi - sorry you have had to join us. My cancer was diagnosed owing to pleural effusion. Over several months the fluid was drained off, ending with a pleurodysis, which is where the pleural cavity, having been drained, is filled with talc that then sets, preventing the fluid building up. It is generally a relatively easy and successful process. Your SiL shold have lots of time in ...
