Mine is pretty easy going but yeah, right at two she had a little attitude swing and it's sort of "terrible twos lite". She yells "STOPPITAH-MUM-MUM" at me and it's so funny I laugh and she starts laughing too. I can usually distract her from tantrums and attitude by making her laugh.

We are 26 months old and we don't know any colours. William know about two letters of the alphabet. For a long time they would count by saying "deux, deux, deux..." it was cute. Now they finish off with a spirited "quatre!" since we have 4 steps to the house and we count them as we go up and down everyday. Yes, we are delayed a bit when compared to the average, no I'm not the least bit worried. I've been...

poor poor teether - Message...

DD2 is cutting her first molar. And it is kicking her (and me!) in the butt. She didn't teethe her first 8 teeth very well, but geez. She is a poor sleeper to begin with, but it's even poorer now (help me!! ) The last 2 nights she has been up at 4:00 am and 3:30 (I am longing for her 5 am days...) ready for the day. We finally had to let her cry a bit after 2 hours last night of rocking her and her waking when we put her down (she...

I hear you on this DS#3's attitude is out of this world some times. The world has a whole new volume level with him around. I hope its a stage they will all grow out of.

8 months. Don't let it scare you. DS2 didn't roll over until 8 months either, because he spent his whole time on the floor trying to do crunches to sit h imself upright. So, we traded the rolling for the situps.

Found this: * Color blindness (color vision deficiency) is a condition in which certain colors cannot be distinguished, and is most commonly due to an inherited condition. Red/Green color blindness is by far the most common form, about 99%, and causes problems in distinguishing reds and greens. Another color deficiency Blue/Yellow also exists, but is rare and there is no commonly available test for it. * Depending on just which figures you...

Craddle cap - Message Boards |...

At the age of 2 it isn't really cradle cap. It's just dry scalp or possibly a bit of psoriasis which is the result of the under layer of the skin developing before the top layer can sluff off. Try a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner, and then start getting in the habit of doing the old "100 strokes with a hair brush" thing. It needs to be a soft bristle brush and you need to brush from the scalp right down to the bottom...

I did have a child proof door handle on DS1's door after he was in a big boy bed until he was night time potty trained. I was worried he'd get into stuff & I wouldn't hear, as our house has a funny layout too. Now we have a gate at the top of the stairs on the floor the kid's rooms are on. It's a wooden one meant for the top of the stairs & you have to have some hand strength to open it, DS can only now open it...

DD will be 3 in April and she naps regularily for 2 hours every afternoon. Having said that, there are times that she does not sleep, but nap time is non negotiable in this house. She needs the sleep, and if she misses one nap it is not a big deal, but if she misses more than one in a row it is really bad!!! I don't even give the option, she is in her room for nap time and if she comes out the gate goes up or the safety handle goes on the...

I am a paramedic so unfortunately my experience with worst case scenarios.
But from what I have witnessed - if your child is allergic to anything -
each time they are exposed to the thing they are allergic to, the worse
their reaction will be (it will hit faster/hard). If you are already seeing
reactions with nut products I would be asking the dr to get allergy testing
done and in the meantime ...

The yelling happens here too. I hear him yell "stop" a lot. Funny because he doesn't have that many words but that word is down pat! lol He also repeats himself over and over just louder every time until you acknowledge him. Doesn't matter what I'm doing, if Caden wants my attention the world better stop and wait.

My ds never took a nap after he turned two, he just didn't need it anymore. He slept well at night usually from 7 to 7, with no nap.

Could they be dry or him allergic to anything? Is the eye itself or under

Get an appt. booked with an ENT (ear/nose/throat dr.) They will look at tonsils, adenoids and ears. A child can have many ear infections without appearing to have a great deal of pain or any pain at all. Antibiotics can be prescribed and sometimes ear tubing is recommended along with tonsil and adenoid removal. Fluid in the ear is generally checked every 2 months by a doctor during the fall/...

I sneak a handful of Bran Buds into Cadens cereal and he doesn't even notice. Sometimes I throw ground flax seed in too. He's had a constipation issue since birth. When it is really bad I head to the apple juice. Will she take a chewable multivitamin? May help until she is willing to eat a more variety of food.

Some people have sucess with giving their child a sippy of milk and walking away. If it's hunger waking your daughter, the milk might satisfy her and encouage her to take a nap until a more decent hour. Unless she's screaming bloody murder you can also just leave her awake in the crib longer and longer to let her know she is not going to get out and about first thing in the morning. good luck

will she suck luke warm? DS#2 refused anything cold, but a room temp wet
cloth was his best friend and would pull him through enough for me to catch
a breather sometimes.

DS had pretty bad cradle cap at 10 months and I finally went the mineral oil and comb it out route. I did while he was strapped in his high chair eating dinner and, over a couple of days, I got it all out. It hasn't come back again so hopefully it will stay gone.

DS does know his colours probably about 6 or so. As for numbers he can
count to 10. As for letters, he can sing the alphabet but he has no letter
recognition at all.
