Waking up one day and stepping on the scale...seeing a number I did not like and deciding only "I" could do something about it. 7.5 months later I"m 65 pounds down. And I"m almost there

A few things I do if I have A LOT of get togethers to go to is eat before going and drink a lot of water. I keep out of the main area where there is food and keep busy by chatting. NOW saying that I do give myself a couple of those get together's a free pass to enjoy the yummy stuff. Congratulations on your weight gone and keep up the good work. Annette

So, due to my stress I am down 2lbs this week, for a total of 3 so far. I know it's nowhere near my goal, but as long as the numbers keep going in the right direction (albeit slowly), I will keep plugging away. QuiltingMum - I've never done WeightWatchers, but if someone was making it THAT accessible, I would probably give it a try. What's the worst that could happen? You don't like it, you stop.

Care to share what you are most proud of in regards to your health and/or weight goals in 2009? Looking back, what stands out in your mind as a moment to be proud?

Christmas has me worried -...
Published (2009-12-21 07:29:00)
I am down 7 lbs in the last month. I have been tyring really hard and I am very proud of myself, I have never worked out like this before and never eating this well either. I have also fit into some pants that I haven't been able to wear for a LONG time Now that being said, I have absoutly NO self control over Christmas. I have never had to worry about my weight at Christmas time before. Any advice or support would be greatly appreciated.

Stick to the healthy eating and working out when your not out and about. I don't think any one of us has to go absolutely nuts over the holidays I know my self control goes pretty much out the window when all the goodies are out..lol But eating right 99% of the time is more important than denying myself a couple of days a year. Congrats btw...:)

Spinach salad - I could eat it every day. Well I practically do, during the week for lunches at work anyway. And I just discovered this Kraft Asian Sesame dressing that goes perfectly with it. I also crave hickory roasted almonds. And one BAD thing I could eat all day and night are those chip nuts from Picard's Peanuts. Kiki, you may know what I mean as there is a Picard's in your area. I ...

Yes, I have it and do it but not every day. Maybe twice a week is what I usually do. I just can't seem to find an uninterrupted 1/2 hour daily. As for how truthful it's claims are - I am loosing weight but I'm also limiting my diet so it's hard to tell how much the video itself has helped. But it is a good (and hard at first) workout - I sweat!

When I was a member it was 42 dollars a month, well 41 and change so 42. I loved it when I was going. I did see a change in my body. I left after having my daughter because I had no one to watch her and my hubby was away a lot so it became a waste of money. I loved that it was all women. Most were real women there to work out and get in shape. Yes there were a few that got all dolled up to work ...
