Just take him in and get it checked out. Better safe than sorry...the sticky bag is a real pain in the butt to use, but, it is worth finding out for sure. The sooner it's treated the better, they very easily travel to the kidneys if left untreated and if he has an underlying issue...I would just take him in.

Ava had only one nap yesterday, it was a long one (2hrs) thank goodness...and today she has been napping now for just over 2 hours, but I can't seem to get her to have more than one nap, if she is even willing to take that one nap at all. Maybe this is the transition period from his three naps to two and it will be weird for a bit but should hopefully adjust to the two naps. I can't remember how my ds2 did, but he seems to eventually...

Well, 8 months is pretty classic separation anxiety time. Don't worry about 4 months from now (well, you will anyway...we're moms, it's what we do...) 4 months ago your son was nothing like what he is now, right? So 4 months from now he will be different again. Don't fret it right now. Meet his needs right now. They're pretty sharp little kids. He will realize (4 months from now) that milk comes from mom, and if mom...

Stephan used to change his nap times and lengths all the time; it was so frustrating. I think the best way to get through these blips is to be consistent and watch their cues. I never thought there was a set "nap time" and I went by how long he was awake between naps. Like, he would go down for his first nap 2 hours after he got up in the morning and his second nap would be 2.5 hours after he woke up from nap #1, no matter how long...

We were driving most of the day yesterday - Shannon napped in her carseat for about an hour, total in a 4.5 hour drive. Then she napped for half an hour when dinner started, woke up, had dinner and was up til 11 (of course we're at the grandparents' so there's a lot of stimulation). Today, she got up at 6:45, napped for a bit at 8, had a 2 hour nap (and I did too) from 11-1 or so, and then napped ON ME for 45 minutes around...

DS hardly ever naps! The other day he had a two and half hour nap and I was so shocked! He usually sleeps until 7ish and he will "nap" on the boob once or twice for 20 minutes or so. He typically nurses to sleep at around 9pm. If anyone can figure out how to make them nap, let me know!

My oldest had recurrent UTI's. The only signs she had were prolonged fever and foul-smelling urine. Plus she would cry alot (she wasn't normally a crier). Hope your little guy is ok!

Caden used to get cold hands at night too. I put mitts or socks on his hands because it was the only thing cold. I dress Nate in the exact same thing which is also what I dress Caden in - onesie, sleeper, sac. Nate's hands are usually warm. Cadens were not as a baby but are now.

Iron stores generally last about 6 months, so it's recommended to add iron to baby's diet around that time. That's one reason that commercial baby cereal is usually recommended as a first food, as it is iron-fortified. Some practitioners are now recommending meat as a first food for the same reason. It's my understanding that breastmilk is not 'counted' as a good source of iron, but personally...

Yikes..I cannot even imagine! I really don't like how illness can throw things so out of whack! With my kids, when illness (or even travel for that matter) threw their schedules off, i just tried to stick with the normal routine and eventually things would go back to the previous "normal". I can imagine how hard it would be for you to get up at 7 with so little sleep, but if it does help ...

Teething, developmental milestone, separation anxiety... Could be anything, really. Sorry it's happening, it's pretty tough getting woken every hour. Just keep cuddling her back to sleep, and hopefully she'll get past this stage soon. If you think it's teething, you could get her an amber necklace and see if that helps. (Make sure it's real baltic amber, not something that's been ground and ...

I, personally, would not leave her to cry. If shes awake and content or even fussing a bit I'd leave her to see if she would go back to sleep but once the crying starts I'd get her. Her naps may lengthen. Nate was a power napper too and then went through a phase of ridiculously long naps (like 4 - 5 hours) and has now settles into 1 - 2 hour naps. But I remember the 20 minute naps. They are ...
