Every kid is different. My DD got the biting=no milk instantly and we were done with it. My DS on the other hand thought it was a great game and loved biting no matter what I did. If I cried, he laughed. I would unlatch and say no and wait a while - he would just do it again, and again, and again.... The only thing that worked for me was to really work on the latch and make sure his neck was fully extended so he couldn't bite. To explain...

Melissa, Hailey had this. Several things can cause this...some are: constipation that caused fissures from straining and a bit of blood....should heal up on its own. allergies to something he has eaten or you have eaten stenosis, narrowing of the anus, making it difficult to pass stool I'm sure there are more, but those are a few of the things I came across when dd had this. If it were me, I wouldn't be super concerned unless it...

This happened to my newborn last fall - I was really worried, but it turned out to be nothing. I did bring him to the doctor, and - I'm sorry my memory is so foggy - I *think* one suggestion was that the baby was allergic to the cow's milk I was drinking!! Check out this website - I remember my doctor gave me a copy of this: http://www.kellymom.com/babyconcerns/bloodystool.h tml

The chemicals that I work with are not that toxic and we have very good ventillation and safety protection so I am not concerned with anything passing into the milk. Did you work there while pregnant? I think it really depends on how comfortable you are with your exposure; if you are not very concerned about ...

I tried squirting it/dripping it into his eye (straight from the breast). It's murder! They fight and twist and blink and it all winds up on their eyelashes at best. I wound up just smearing whatever was on there around the eye area. Some will probably get in. I honestly wouldn't worry much about the dropper being unsanitary (or the finger!) It's the antibacterial properties in ...

I think the general rule is if solids are cutting into breastfeeding then cut back on solids or discontinue them until they become an addition to the breastfeeding, not a replacement of. How much solids are you giving per day?
