Like slowride said, or just have someone watch your launch once you mark the tire. No reason why you shouldn't be in the 1.5xs.

275/60/15 radial i need to get a new converter in the car so i can really see whats going on... it was on its way out and the 60's were gettting progresivly worse. The radial should let you run more air pressure. I'd stay up in the 16-18 range. Get a good hot burnout and hit 'em with as much as you can. I don't worry about sidewall wrinkle. I look at contact patch and striping to check for tire shake. You want to get as much cross section contact as possible without shaking the tires.

That wrinkle is just about right. The wrinkle is at the bottom and slightly forward. You don't want to see a wrinkle on the back part of the tire and you don't want to see the rim driven into the ground. All tires no matter what their size or construction should run as much air pressure as possible before 60' time slow down. I don't do it, but adjusting pressure 1/4 - 1/2 pound can make a big difference. I set my 32x14...

I used stock shocks in the back and had pretty good luck at a 1.43 60'. On another car I used comp engineering 3 way shocks and didn't notice a whole lot of difference. I was also using stock front shocks and springs.

One question and 2 comments. Are you spinning? Skip the dry hop it serves no purpose and can actually strip the warm rubber from your burnout off of the tire. My PT4200 Yank will net a better 60' the higher that I stall it. If your brakes will hold it, try stalling it up.

Springs only need a spring rate heavy enough to hold up the vehicle. Shocks control how the weight is controlled. Any drag shock is better than a production shock but you need to experiment with different settings to see what works best. A stiff spring resists compression. Good for corner carving, autocross etc. No good for drag racing. You need the suspension to move so that the shocks can ...
