What's even better, Rosalii, is 32 calories each!!! I figured the calories myself, and then entered the recipe in the data base to see what it showed. Both came out the same: 32 calories. I substituted Splenda for the sugar and egg whites for the whole egg. I just took them out of the oven about 20 minutes ago and couldn't wait till I refrigerated them. Had to sample...

feeling fuller on less?
Published (2009-12-05 06:50:00)
What you're referring to is 'satiety'..... the ingredients that provide satiety are fat, protein and fibre. If you start to include more fat, protein and fibre in your meals... such as eating a full-fat yoghurt... then you'd probably find they were much more satisfying. And the best way to judge? Try it for yourself and see what happens.

Don't list the calories, don't list the exercise, don't list portion sizes. None of those pesky numbers, since we all are different. One person can need 1400 a day, while another can need 2,500, and it can be really triggering to see someone ate a lower number than yourself. Therefore, just list the food you ate. This will help us understand the value of eating healthy food (for the ...

Hello! I'm sure this is a repeat topic, but I can't seem to find any previous posts!
I was wondering what YOU put in your oatmeal. What are your favorite toppings?
I really feel like being adventurous :) So hit me with your best ideas haha. I don't care the calories either... because I usually like to have a 300-500 calorie breakfast to jumpstart a day. I find oatmeal really filling, which...

In almond milk or rice milk (unless it's fortified and enriched), you won't get the vitamin D and protein you'll get in milk.
And why is milk not healthy? I saw articles saying that carrots are unhealthy...don't believe everything you hear.
I must admit, though, that non-dairy milks taste way better :)

has anyone tried these noodles?? i want to try them immediately! only 20 cals per serving! crazy!
edit: last night i made eggplant curry and ate it over these noodles. they were good! they don't taste like anything, and they're a bit chewy, but i was happy with them in place of the normal rice noodles.

I've always kinda wondered this as well.
To be safe, I always count all the oil I use in stir-fries - but in my recipes things don't need to brown, so I never use enough oil to make a huge calorie difference if some cooks off (I usually only use a tsp or two).
So yeah. No help whatsoever. But I fall into the "When it doubt, count" camp.

You're making an omelet for your breakfast. Before pouring in the egg, what do you sautee in the pan first? red onion, mushrooms, bell pepper, garlic, and I'll wilt some spinach.
You have a craving for french-style breakfast crepes. What do you stuff them with? Nutella and banana or berries
Then you need to make some good old oatmeal. What liquid, type of oats, and additives would ...

OKAY, so there is a thread that posts foods eaten for the day, but for those of us who run low on ideas or want to see what a particular range of calories can look like for the day i thought it would be GREAT to have a thread where we list our foods eaten with the calorie range. so, if you're with me listaway!!
I think it would be helpful to list the TOTAL CALORIES for each person's day......

Did you used to make a weird food concoction when you were younger that you loved?
I had three
1-Apple and sugar sandwiches
2-Broken digestive biscuits with custard
3-The weirdest!-Whited bread broken up, mixed with milk, jam and sugar, and all heated in the micro. "Gumbo" is what it was called.

I don't understand the problem, it's pasta, it's got carbs, it probably doesn't fit in a low carb diet.
What is a 'safe' diet food? WW pasta is better than some things and worse than others.

Be patient all that exercise is building muscle and I really do not believe that eating the same food is the answer. The people that are doing this will get results but 3 to 6 months later they will get it all back and need to start over. You on the other hand will loose weight and keep it off.

Just weight them
For example, the brownie weighs XX grams. Search the calorie content of the brownie and enter XX grams. It's not 100% accurate, but it's the best guess.

It helps to understand what breakfast does.... eating after having been asleep for several hours wakes up the metabolism. This means your body starts burning energy. If you don't eat breakfast then your body is running on 'slow' until lunchtime. This can lead to overeating later in the day and it also means that what you subsequently eat is not burned off efficiently.
I've just taken a mail...
