Published (2009-11-23 22:46:00)

solid base like thick steel plate on a concrete slab, and a 3lb sledge. I use my HF 25lb anvil as a base. The sucker will move. Works for me!

Will show you how to detail strip to remove those components. Typically the grip safety will need some fitting if you replace it.

Is the mount bent? Can you use a straight edge or a square to see if its bent?
Sounds like the mount is bent slightly so thats why nothign lines up. I dont think you can easily bend those back. Probably easier to buy a new one
Did you get yours from a vendor? send it back and have him get you a new one
