Bill, I knew how you meant it mate - just checking you're awake on a Monday morning I think, however, that there's certainly more 'ability' needed to use MIDI drums for example, rather than pre-recorded loops.

Another one gets suckered into buying and upgrade because GT3 just doesn't cut it . I used to have a Squier Mini. I did a bunch of mods to it, and eventually it sounded and played pretty cool, but I couldn't get used to the fretboard scale, so I gave it to a friend whose three-year-old was starting to take an interest in his Jems and USA Peavey and Ernie Ball guitars. I leave in the morning at 4 am to go back to Shreveport to be with the family. Should be there for about 10 days. A strange problem has occured. On my old Intel computer I could use GTP3 and the 0404 SPDIF input with no problems. Now I've upgraded my computer to an AMD Dual Core and when I installed GTP3 it doesn't see the SPDIF connection at all. This is either a serious defect or just a case of a simple tweak. I had a new install of the software and there was a noticable delay in the sound in the playback when using any of the built-in effects or simulators. I tried adjusting the latency slider and was able to reduce it but it's still unusably bad. This is a major part of the product and it is terrible. Prior to purchasing this product I...
