Corny's spin: And Bristol-Myers can get a premium for its 16.6 percent stake in ImClone should it choose to sell. UPDATE: Indeed, Jim Cornelius, Bristol-Myers’ ceo, issued this statement later in the morning: “We are pleased to have initiated a process that has resulted in the substantial increase of ImClone’s value for all of its stockholders.” Bristol-Myers, in fact, is selling its $1 ...

The 42-page report slices and dices ceo pay and performance several ways, but we noticed that King Pharmaceuticals ceo Brian Markison shows up on the firm’s ranking of the S&P 500 Overpaid 25, a dubious distinction. To be specific, Brian ranked No. 23 with about $30.3 million in total compensation, while King stock fell about 36 percent and earnings per share growth plummeted nearly 37 percent.

After the pension change there is no longer a reason for anyone to put up with the call notes, meeting the new metric of the month, the DBM ride along twice a month, faulty data, a lack of leadership RBH and higher, etc... The carrot at the end of the stick is that we can co promote a me too drug without formulary coverage in a couple of years (if you can survive the layoffs). Unless the ...

Oh boy, here we go again. "No bias at all" - Rita. In relation to higher volume territory potential growth vs lower volume territory potential growth. Really? Then why isnt Plavix growing now with a base of $5 billion dollars at the same rate vs earlier years when its base was $1 billion dollars? I really do not understand the re-org of the studio that just was announced. How can adding more managers make this process more streamline. There are so many layers, think about it. All I do know for sure is a good manager does not get less to manage, they get more. SM now has less. Neil and Tom must know how incompetent she is. It is only a matter of time. The real winners are the groups...

Get used to it (if you survive this round of cuts). It's been going on quite some time here at bmy. With the patents expiring on our two biggest drugs within the next 3 years this won't be the end of it. Wish I had confidence in our pipeline but I don't. The sales force will become much smaller over the next several years. Read any of the headlines and you'll see it's an industry problem, ...

How long has it been since you heard ANYONE in BMS speak about work/life balance? The joke's on you in the field, summer hours in Plainsboro have sadly come to an end. Don't you wish you had Fridays 1/2 off? But your minimal expectation sheet has you in the field from 8-5 every working day all year long.

Thank you Carl Ichan! $70 for my IMCL stock. Hey Jimbo, at least you'll get $70 per share for the 17% BMY owns. Jimbo, we know you cashed out big time with Guidant, but don't try to play with the big boys. "ImClone Systems has agreed to be acquired by Eli Lilly for about $6.1 billion, Reuters reports, citing sources familiar with the situation. The agreement follows ImClone's ...
