and found a wealth of information that's helped me understand a few problems I've had with my own system. I could suggest that those who were so interested in sustaining the heat pump topic might want to pose to the Cnet "powers that be" that an HVAC forum be created. And if they want one that's vendor specific, that might be possible too. Maybe we could do support for kitchen appliances. I'm having problems with...

I ran across something myself: http://www.cbc.ca/news/background/health/cosmetic-surgery.html What caught my eyes was the part that said: In Canada, almost any medical doctor can perform cosmetic surgery even if he or she has had little or no training in surgery. The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada does not recognize "cosmetic surgery" as a specialty designation. So doctors who call themselves "cosmetic...

That's 2 to the power (2 to the power 2 (to the power 2 (to the power 2))) = 2 to the power (2 to the power 2 (to the power 4)) = 2 to the power (2 to the power 16 ) = 2 to the power 65536 = more then 10 to the power 6500 = a number with more than 6500 digits. That's a lot. Kees

Ona a tangential point however, I'd like to see all cars equipped with an OnStar equivalent. The whole idea is really good, particularly the availability of a range of Emergency services. I was a skeptic but a friend is now on his second OnStar equipped vehicle, and I've become a convert. Not so sure about Satellite Radio though. Rob

My work involves clinical laboratory instruments and measurements sometimes have a rather fuzzy baseline or zero point that might need manipulation to insure accuracy of the final result. Electronic detection cannot start at zero as electronic circuits have components that require certain thresholds to be reached before they respond at all. What joy at this season for all her fellow employees who now must wonder if the company can survive this and if they will still have a job by end of next year. Oh well, at least SHE will have a place to stay, even if it's in jail. More likely she will be out on bail soon, maybe on house arrest. Nice house. http://www.jsonline.com/business/79905827.html http://media.jsonline.com/...

Fox News, owned by Rupert Murdoch, is reporting on a Times of London article. Guess who owns the Times of London? Ga head... guess. There is an old homily that goes... The Fox that finds it, the smells behind it . Of course this saying was about flatulence and finger pointing, but I can't help but think it somehow applies here too.

Well, if you are a proponent of Global Warming you make sure to have a summit near the Arctic Circle during the winter time. Yeah, that really drives the point home, doesn't it? You're saying it's frigid cold there? For more humor, see Obama arriving there in his Global Warming heavy overcoat. Do you think his coat is too heavy or too light for the temperature? If you knew ...

wasn't in Europe. I believe Saab made the last of the 2 cycle engined vehicles and even had some with 3 cylinders. They do, or at least did, make fighter aircraft but I've not heard much about the prowess of the Swedish Air Force.

Such things can happen on commercial TV. Money has to come from somewhere. You prefer TV to be paid from your tax dollars? I can't imagine that. Or maybe you prefer state regulation of what happens in the media, ensuring, well, I don't know what that should ensure. And I can't imagine that either. But, of course, you've got the freedom to look at other channels. Kees

Don't they already have PUBLIC health care? Don't they already have people waiting for months/years for treatment (and some die while they are waiting in line) and cross the border to the USA rather than wait, even if they have to pay for their treatment here out of pocket? Of COURSE the hospitals are going to polarize against her views on public health care....the hospitals DEPEND ...

I think he's going to be O.K., legally, his intention was satire. Along the line of logos, I've always wondered what the Canadian National Railway Company thought when they first saw the logo of CNN.
