1.) Donate to a local charity. Sometimes your cell phone provider will even have a bin for such. 2.) Sell them on Ebay (auction), gazelle.com (they buy directly), etc. if they are still semi-recent models. 3.) If the model holds no value, see if the manufacturer has a recycling program. (Regular disposal is prohibited in California.) John

Also wondering, if I were to switch to Verizon wireless dataplan and drop my current home ISP, is tethering allowed? Is unlimited usage REALLY unlimited? Verizon terms are vague. Would Sprint sell a dataplan for the PPC6800, or would I have to buy a new device?

Although it may not seem like it, there are actually too many options given the few requirements. The iPod Touch would fulfill those three requirements, though you would need to pick up a free to do list application to add the checklist feature. On the other hand, you could pick up a used Palm TX or even the older Palm m100 (circa 2000) on eBay for under $50. Or for that matter, why ...

The language on a WindowsMobile smartphone cannot be changed without the manufacturer (HP) issuing you a copy of an English ROM. Unfortunately, that is not a request they grant, especially for out-of-warranty products. Sorry. John

The smartphone must support it (most newer HTC models do) and the provider (Verizon) must support it. Verizon has drug its feet in the past, trying to get its customers to pay for their separate PC services, but has made it an option for owners of select smartphone models. When you ask them about availability, specifically use the term "tethering" and make it clear you're prepared ...

The Beta fix is compressed and did not self-extract. I tried downloading "WINZIP but received an error message that it was not a 32 bit file. So at this point, I can't open or run the file unless someone can tell me how. I am not particularly skilled in computer tech. (smile)

I got joy here as well! I didn't have a Torx #5, but much to my surprise, the 1.4mm slotted driver from my basic Stanley small driver set fit the Torx screws perfectly, and they turned easily. A bit tough splitting the clam, but once I did, everything seemed self-explanatory (after reading the tutorial linked above). There's an ivory-colored plastic block that terminates the black and red leads ...

I know that you can read any ebook in the EPUB, PDF, and LRF format because the fonts are embedded into the documents. I have heard of being able to convert the Russian fb2 format to an EPUB or PDF so you can read without needing theCyrillic alphabet. You could try to post the question on http://ereaderquestions.com/ to see if they can't help you a little more.
