I just assume that only messages are private, and put nothing on facebook I don't want strangers reading. You should never assume a web site is private.

Santa - the uber-gadgeteer... This is sooo neat Author: Santa Claus Relies On Robots, Gadgetry http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=121247367 excerpt: ***** But Santa doesn't have time to unwrap and rewrap all the presents. So he uses a terahertz wave radiation scanner to see through the wrapping and make out the shape inside, indicating which toys are already under the tree. That way, he can leave a different one. *****...

TSA Security Breach, Guide...

Dear Buzz Gang and Crew, It appears that a minor security breach occurred with the TSA - Transportation Security Administration. Evidently, their so-called "Top Secret" security document on how to screen passengers was posted online. It was literally a matter of minutes when the torrent sites and ftp servers of the world went on fire with downloads after the document hit the Net. What is interesting is that the information in the...

1. ATT's 3g coverage map will stay exactly the same. Luke Wilson on the other hand will age 20 years in 9 months out of grief. 2. Jason will add another monitor to the studio and will block his view of Tom. Regretfully, Jason will never see Tom again. 3. A Median Hadron Collider is built after the smaller version of the Large Hadron Collider that was built was just too small. 4. Apple releases brand new 4G iPhone to be used on...

uh because they screwed up the $200 phone and rendered a $50 dock useless with their "free" gmail account. How can Verizon support an OS they didn't make? How could Motorola? It may be open source, but google has made this OS for verizon and has been paid. Open source does not mean free or no support. open source linux redhat versions cost hundreds of dollars..

...so they should know how it works. Same as an auto OEM is responsible for anything in and on their vehicle, so is a phone OEM. Verizon should take up their issues with their supplier, not you.

Nook not living up to the hype

But I'm not interested in a backlit screen or limited battery life or the extra weight when reading books so reading on a laptop is not the answer for me. Once someone does a sleek looking eReader that has smooth as silk navigation without a bunch of buttons, lets me put other store's books on the device, and gives me a killer collection of books at reasonable prices I'll jump, Add digital checkouts from your local library and...

i do miss things like being at the snakes on a plane premiere and i do miss the interview episodes. but THE MOST IMPORTANT THING FOR ME is to NOT CHANGE THE FORMAT. sry to be a poop on this one, but that's just MHO... if theres some additional content like traveling vlogs or interview episode thats fine. but id like them to stay as additional and not change the current format. listening since 2005. -Dr. Karl

Apple tablet, iPhone or similar touchscreen OS with an ebook store. Chrome OS will bomb, nobody wants to be stuck on web apps (except perhaps if they use a cybercafe only...) Second dip of the recession will occur, so people will keep heading towards netbooks and smartphones.

Can't imagine the Nook or Kindle being a better reading experience than my Macbook Pro is. But that's just me. Mr convergence. Hmm, and in regard to those articles. I don't take much notice of bugginess because it's still early days for the software and product, one assumes patches will come. But complaints about unresponsive touch screen, sluggishness, confusing UI. That sounds bad...

But on this occasion they must have been discussing the built in web browser. Although a list of alternative web browsers is very useful information. And punch-zoom is important when the double tap doesn't work well or when you need to zoom out.

Is it lame if I think 2009 is not going to have that many huge announcements? <drink>In these troubled economic times</drink>, perhaps this is going to be a quiet year. If I had to guess, for now, (and I made this prediction last year, but it didn't really come to fruition), I'd say that green tech comes more to the forefront. With the new macbooks and the failing car companies, ...

Why should they be responsible for support? The usual model for open source, is you pay nothing for the software but pay for the support.

Sorry...it's probably just paranoia, but Google is just too darn big for its own good. I have to kick myself when I've seen that I haven't logged out of gmail, and all my searches are still under my gmail address. Enough already with the data compilation. I'll stick with OpenDNS.
