He even had the brush guard listed for $150 buy now or best offer http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...2BSI%26otn%3D4 Now most shackles sell for $50 to $75 that are listed. Most people do not want to separate them from bumper and brush...

Well, 73-80 frames should be identical or dang close. 81-87 may differ for the radiator support in the new style front clip. You might try and bend/patch the frame, depending on how thrashed it is. If a Hi-lift won't do it, a body shop can put the hydraulic gizmo on to straighten it ... whether or not that's cost effective you'll hafta find out for yourself. A frame swap is at the least time-consuming, seeing as you gotta deal...

Ive been here since December of 2006 and I never started a build thread.. so I guess its time. I picked up my K10 earlier this year (around april) off of craigslist. In short I over payed for a piece of crap with a bunch of extra parts that im probably not going to use anyway. I found a set of 1 tons on ebay and put in my bid and hoped for the best. The axles were completely rebuilt which brings ...

Any help appreciated.... '91 TBI 350, starts and runs fine when cold. Runs fine when warm but has a hesitation that will almost stall the truck just as you crack the throttle. Give it a little more pedal and it takes off like a bat outa hell. I can simulate the hesitation even when it is in park. It is almost like a dead spot. If you drive it mashing down on the gas it runs fine all the ...

Well after seeing bigblaze's and mannys build threads, I've decided that I should start my own so that I can keep all my modifications in one place. Here's some pics of the truck and the different stages that it has gone through. First mod: four weeks after buying truck for $850. 35X12.50R15 Trxus Mts and front fender trimming Next stage: 4" lift, some cutting to rear quarter ...

that sounds weird to me. LOTS of guys on this site have Detroit lockers in the rear of their rigs and i haven't heard of them dancing and shaking around in the road.

How big of an alternator should I go with to support my 12000 pound milemarker I just picked up? What high amp stockers can I use from other applications? Also can I go to big?

Thursday night I developed a nasty little vibration that is causing me some concern. At about 30-35mph, my '77 C30 crew cab dually starts shaking like I'm doing 90mph down a washboard road. It doesn't subside with increasing speed. It will only stop if I slow to under 25mph, or so. My initial thought was that the harmonic balancer went bad, but when I got home and checked, it was a-okay. ...

I have an 85' Chevy K5 minus the drivetrain. I've been trying to sell it, and would like to maybe make some improvements to help get this done. I don't know much about what might make the truck more useful to someone else. Could anyone make some suggestions on what improvements I may want to consider? Thanks for any help with this.

I've dug around and can't find many pictures of what people are doing for their bumpers. I love the stock look but also need winch mounting capabilities.

I have had this problem for the past month and now it won't stop. A few weeks ago someone writes on the Marauders trunk (let's just say the writing was implying that I was a homosexual) and I wash the car and the problem was gone. This week someone writes on my K5's rear window with the same message. I wrote back saying that I love my gun. The next day that same jerk wrote on it saying "By gun I ...

I'm getting closer to getting a picture of all my trucks I plan to keep in photo at one place at one time. This is a picture of all of them except for 10 others not in the picture. 5 are unable to be moved over or are parked elsewhere for winter, and the other 5 I plan to move over by this week to get in a picture in a lineup. Theres still an '83 K30, '85 K30, '80 ...

Found a guy locally that has a set of boggers 38.5x15 w/ 95% tread that only wants $650 for them. I'd planned on waiting til tax refund and buy some 39 Iroks to have as off-road set, but kinda hard to turn down the deal. Should I buy the boggers and run them or wait and buy some Iroks? Boggers are in great shape, were only on this guys mall crawler until he found out they were kinda loud...

Ok, lets start. Quite a few of you already know me, and if you don`t, the name`s Ben. I`ve been wanting to start one of these for a while. I figure its a good way to keep all my stuff in one spot, and many will aggree. So, here goes nothing. I started out with a 1990 Chevy V10 Blazer I bought off a guy that my friends dad knew well. When I got it, it needed a little TLC. The exhaust was ...

Well, what do you all think? Which would be better? I could get some half doors locally for around $75, maybe less if I negotiate. They would be similar to these posted by MNorby: Or I have a set of tube doors, but I need to fab new hinges and fix/replace one door latch. They are moneypit's old tube doors in this pic: As I see it: HALF DOORS: I like the half-door idea...
