True. However if you want to randomly harass the guy for eons and put his name in infamy on the 'net than that's the place. (Note that I don't even have a screen name there. Not my 'hood.)

ok i got lazy and skipped to the end im not sure if its been said but electrical wiring is like plumbing power can only flow as much as the smallest wire kinda like water can only flow as much as the smallest pipe. my opinion is toss walmart in the trash purchase some dry cell and go double ott to the engine for ground 00 to the starter and 00 from the alt. fix it right the first time as my previous employer would say.

Someone correct me if I am wrong. I believe that the frames changed in 78 when they went to the dropped rear floor boards. So that being said I am not so sure an 88' tub will fit on a 75 frame which had the taller floor boards of that era.

Good work Rene!
The hardest part (for an OCD-type guy) is going to be NOT taking every aspect of the truck to the Nth degree....
There will probably be a good deal of satisfaction to be had with just doing basic cleanup of the truck, maybe force some kind of discipline with yourself that says "No project can take more than 8 hours to complete, and cost no more than $200"... That way ...

I am intrigued too. I have a faded black paint job that has been resprayed once, dents, brush scrapes, and body mods by boulders and sawz- all. I wanted to do sand camo for the CA deserts. I will be watching.

You might want to consider an equipment trailer from united rentals or somewhere like that. A burb does not sound fun to flat tow.

chrome diff cover
HV oil pump
cheesy bolt-in-bed roll bars

12" of lift with 35" tires (work with a guy who thinks his 2500 is cool looking)
fake bead locks
more than one shock per-wheel or one OEM installed steering stabilizer

Pro-Comp tires

We will get into how it broke later.
But for now, I'm pricing a new one.
What are some good suggestions?
I need a LJ 350 mains crank, 1 piece rear main, internal balance, 3.75 stroke, 5.7 rods.
Cross-drilled mains: Good? Bad? Pros? Cons?
4340? Cast steel? 4140? (I think) Which would be my best solution?
BTW: I was hearing no stranger noises. Driving to ...

I'm just getting started on my build of my 77K-5, and don't really have any earth shattering items that would be any different from a lot of what's on here already. 454, T400, 203/205, 14BFF Detroit 4.56, D60 Lockright 4.56.
Crossover, 6" lift. Bla Bla Bla.
Post up the build or not?
Consensus seems to be go for it, so I will post up what I'm doing:...
