Yeah I changed the oil cause that's just rule of thumb with me, and put in 10 gal of fresh diesel. Lucked out and found a new in the box air cleaner under the rear seat. Need to finish up getting the front end all together. Still need to get an AC condenser and a hood. The truck was in a fender bender before I got it but I have 90% of the parts replaced. I'm pretty stoked cause I am into the entire thing for less than $450 thus far....

Here's a new pisture as of today. Radiator & shroud are in. I'm sorting out the 700R4 TV cable and the heater hoses. My buddy works for penske and he gave me a pair of air-suspension seats from an international truck. I'm installing '90 suburban captain's chairs on these bases for a super-comfy setup! the air valves are fed by blue plastic air line Identical to the ones used for my ARB air locker compressor....

It will work, but you need new straps and the correct sending unit for the bigger tank.

You can try and seal right over it. I have had tanks last many years after sealing this way. Really depends on the shape of the rest of the tank though.

Havent run mine yet (been in the midst of about 20 projects) but I have a hummer h1 lift pump on mine. It was about the same price as the generic mr gasket ones, and its supposed to be slightly higher pressure than the mech one which Ive read can help increase power slightly. IIRC is in the 10-12psi range vs 6-8 for the stocker. Also allowed me to simplify that front corner of the engine alot, ...

I got a rebuilt 4911 for $320 shipped no core through DieselPro over at dieselplace.com. The 4911 is a db2 used on the early mechanically injected 6.5 TD. I hear they put out the most fuel out of the mechanically injected pumps. I am having my 6.2l short body injectors rebuilt locally to 6.5l td specs using new bosch nozzles for a little under $25 each.

It is a bent piece kinda like angle iron on the back side of the starter motor. It attaches from the starter motor to the block.

The blue hose by the alternator is an oil drain. The Isuzu Nippondenso alternators came with a vacuum pump on the back of the alternator, so I can run my power brakes etc. It has oil-fed bearings like the turbo, so it'll last forever. I had a set of custom power steering hoses made to mate the chevy steering box fittings to the AN fittings on the power steering pump. The Isuzu diesels have a...
