Hey Glen, I don't think you will wear out your welcome here. I started using c4d as my first 3d app maybe 6 years ago, and it appears to me you are already beyond my c4d ability. I've annoyed a few people here for my stupid questions, but I don't see that happening with you. For those who don't know - Glen is one of the best character artists around. Amazing talent. Follow him on twitter and you get to see his napkin...

There's also Quicktime VR Object output which is built into C4D. I've used this before for Roland with success. Plus, since QT is a widespread standard, you won't have to worry about directing someone to install a browser plugin just to look at it.

thanks chris, you're the man btw so the environment channel is spherically mapped, so if you paint a square in bodypaint, and use that texture, will you have weird pinched squares in the env. channel? this is all super instructive. chris, was the envornment channel trick how you and the monkey created that nice collaborative piece with all the sponsors etc. i remember reading a really nice write up the monkey did about that

in 11.5 you can make palettes and windows sticky for the fullscreen mode, so that you could maybe have your most used palettes sticky, and when you go to fullscreen mode you get rid of the OM and material editor etc and just keep the few windows/palettes you need with as big of a viewport ans possible

I quickly cobbled together a COFFEE version of the old Mesh Surgery Mirror Vice plugin, without the options though and no automatic mirroring of the geo as the camera rotates around it (not hard to add via COFFEE, but unless you always created the tag while facing the right side of the geometry it could be annoying). [edit] just added this support in there for camera facing, just like the MS Mirror Vice, just make sure that your camera is...

Congrats.
I'm not very fond of the character stylings, nor the look and feel of the rendering output, but I do think that the pieces are very rich and smart conceptually.

You may be able to derive those geometry features quite easily in a free app called - Topmod
It has some very unique subdivision algorithms that many 3D apps don't have.
Achieving polygon faces that fit this style should be no problem and you'd have to do very minor edits in Cinema to do away with the details you don't want.
