Well a viewing of Hellboy 2 seemed to inspire me to try doing my film project again(thanks Guillermo) so I'll see if i can find someone for the costume and if that doesnt work(could look really clunky or move funny) I'll use a cg model incorporated into live action as opposed to something all cg which has zero appeal to me. Everytime I try to focus on another project the incentive isnt there so it must be this thing holding me back...

Not sure if it has menu or control options, but Bink lets you create a movie that launches a self-extracting player. http://www.radgametools.com/

The Technical Talk section over at Polycount has two good threads for getting into Unreal 3 and the UDK: Unreal Developer Kit thread Unreal Engine 3 thread There's also a fair amount of info in their UDK announcement thread , though it's just general info and not necessarily as technically-focused as the others. The guy who wrote that tutorial I linked before has also written a significant number of other tutorials concerning how to...

while a nice and original presentation is always good, because it shows commitment and will to go the extra step, more places than not are interested in seeing the topology, flow and possibly poses of a model, which makes turntables not only not a bad thing to have, but rather expected. If you focus on modelling then you're peddling your skills in pointpushing, not offering in the reel a way to see those skills means the...

saw it yesterday. This movie is particularly bad. A near 3 hour movie could have done with a shave for sure.. I will say this, for 2 hours people were sighing, snoring, restless but for the last 40 odd minutes people actually seemed to be glued to the screen, Thats when i thought the visual effects were awesome...not that they were substandard to this point, it just became interesting.. ...

I've never gone to see any of Zemekis's other 3D films at the theater and I've never seen any of them at home all the way through. I've either been too turned off by the story or the CG to find it entertaining. But this I am definitely going to go see. Its the first time where I'm going to see a stylistically realistic CG film that I would have gone to see even if it was not CG. Does that ...

"Modeling" stay away from turn tables unless your stuff is just over the top awesome (just about everything I have seen from schools like VFS) show wire frames and finished result, use clean lighting and rendering to show off your model in the best possible light. Smooth, clean, and quality camera work is a must, models unless they are well animated are just static so a little bit ...
