Buick Century)? It's my first car, a 99 buick century. It's a VERY smooth ride, and my dad who knows a lot about cars couldn't find anything wrong with it but I want to have it checked at an auto mechanic to avoid any surprises. It has around 175k miles on it.

Need help with a 98 Buick...
Published (2009-12-13 00:51:00)
98 Buick Century, the heat and/or A/C has completely stopped blowing. The screen on the digital display stopped working a long time ago but everything still worked. Now that it's stopped working I took it to a Goodyear and they have no idea. Their best guess is the heat and A/C control unit has stopped working. Is the control panel with the digital display what they're referring to and is it possible to get it and get it programmed...

did you replace the LIM? I love these posts that bash a brand in general because they have issues that are most likely from a lack of Preventative maintenance :\

...I need to check out and do? It comes with around 175k miles, it's a clean title, runs VERY nice and smoothly and my dad knows a lot about cars couldn't find anything wrong with it, but I want to take it to an auto mechanic to have it checked so I don't have any surprises. What are some things I should have checked or are recommended to do for it? Oh, and any thoughts on the car? Thanks!

I have no idea about the going price at a Buick dealership (or other professional mechanic/repair shop)... but, you could call the local Buick and have the parts/service departments give you a quote (for parts+price and also an estimate of how long you'd be without your car). OTOH: call around to local junk/salvage yards (the used part/parts should be relatively cheap)... and then doing ...

your gonna have to get the fuel line from dealer prebent unless your damn good with a bender and the white clips on the fuel filter just pull up, its like a "C" clip type deal look to see if your new fuel filter came with them because if they have never been replaced chances are they will break due to age.
