Hi. We got everything new except DD's first pram, my cousin gave me hers. My mum gave us a budget of $700 for a cot, bassinet and rocking chair, she also ended up buying me DD's carseat (birth to 18kgs) and my dad built DD's change table. DD is the first grandchild so my mum always buys her stuff anyway, but we don't really have anyone with young babies so didn't really get any hand me downs except the pram. My cousin...

Seeing a heartbeat this early is a really good sign! I haven't had this before so I'm not really helpful but I just wanted to say good luck and hope it all goes well for you.

with DS2 we didnt really need anything as we had it all from DS1... all i did was brought DS1 a maxirider so DS2 could ...

Hi everyone,
MIL still in hospital. DH spoke to the specialist yesterday, the tumour has grown but it's not what's making her so sick at the moment, the calcium levels are still high which is making her ill. They've done a brain scan but not expecting it to show anything, chemo may start today, but only if BP is down. DH asked what the chemo would do and was told that it's just a ...

"What to expect when you're expecting" is good, but I also love "Up the duff" by Kaz Cooke. Its my bible during this pregnancy
If this is your first bub, you should see if you can access some antenatal classes at your local hospital. When I went there, we all got a book for the dads called "First time fathers". Not that the men will read it, but us women did and it was quite informative

That is your body gearing up for labour.
You'll probably find that an internal at this point would show some degree of effacement and/or dilation.
By 38 + 4 with my first I was 3cms and fully effaced and experienced period like pains prior.
If you find the period pain pretty steady across hours or it peaks and peeters so that you can actually time when they are coming and going it could ...

Hi there
My poor wifey is only 5 weeks gone (we only had our BT yesterday and I've jumped over from the IVF page) and she is running off to the loo even more than me! I love your detail because it sounds like my wifey, although with the exception, she's not peeing a great deal...it only feels like she is busting and it's driving her absolutely nuts. Can this be expected for the next 8 ...

Hi, yes I did. Mainly for all those appointments and things, I don't like to be hairy IYKWIM. I'm not going to lie, it freaking kills and a few strips in I'm sweating and thinking that maybe I should get her to stop... but it gets better as the area heats up
It lasts about 4 weeks or so.. but then it's only very light hair coming through it gets less and less the more you do it.
Totally...

My waters broke with two of my babies, but I was at home when it happened. Going by my own experience, a pad would be okay. Just make sure you carry spares as it keeps leaking.

The midwife literally had to pull DH out the door, he would have stayed with us all night if he could. And then he was there at 5am the next morning. I woke up and he was just sitting there staring at us, it was so cute.
If you really aren't happy about him wanting to go play poker, then say something.

I would have loved a 3.6kg bub for my first. Youll be fine, trust your body.
I had a 4.41kg (9pd 12oz) bub vaginally, with a drugs(that wore off hours and hours before i had him), tearing and help. But i still did it.
Good Luck
