He needs to understand that what he has done is far worse then his his daughter wearing a bit of makeup.
I don't doupt that he wasn't serious, but the

I'm sure for some families it could be, but not all families give their children everything they want or pay for all the extras.
The best for your child doesn't necessarily have to involve spending money on them.
Words like 'need' 'have to' and 'want' probably are very telling.
Peer pressure is obviously strong amongst plenty of parents too - Ms Tehan included!

There was a similar story posted in
the Herald Sun in VIC not long ago... My partner brought it home and suggested I read it - I read it and by the end was bawling my eyes out... my failure to breastfeed really haunts me and I think this is why.
A couple of days ago there was a letter written into the paper in response to the article by a woman that said 'Anyone who can't breastfeed ...
