That is the problem isnt it?? they have to pay to opt in and if it is not viable for them to do it then the card holder is affected.

Note that the age is now up to 24 years of age though. Those final years can be more expensive if the child is studying. Uni books are ridiculously expensive.

Yes I can say my facebook status has been that in the past too lol... Always free to good home though I would never charge some poor soul I think it was a silly joke and perhaps he didn't realise how far it would go.

I like space, I'd probably have bought acreage by now and a couple of horses, some ducks, chooks and a dog. I'd have set up a huge vege patch and had fresh eggs, fruit and veg every day. I do have the dog, but on a much smaller property and in a ghetto. As for the petrol, yep I spend a fair bit on it getting DD around, but without her I'd spend it on getting myself around, I'd have gym membership and be going out a lot more...

Breastmilk push is stressing mums
Published (2009-11-28 11:17:00)
I can see both sides of the story here. I know a Mum who gave up breastfeeding within a few days because she found it too hard and wished later that she had known that it does actually take some time and perserverance to establish and she would have kept breastfeeding. Another Mum I know found after her first baby that after being tested she actually wasn't producing any milk. And found it frustrating with the next two births that the...

I just feel for kids that do miss out because of parents who dont provide. I know it wont be a nice feeling (I will be feeling the same) but I think about kids missing out on basic things that should be provided, that the money is ment for and if everyone is in the same boat who cares I be more worried/upset if I was blinged up in a BMW paying for my shopping with it.

He needs to understand that what he has done is far worse then his his daughter wearing a bit of makeup. I don't doupt that he wasn't serious, but the ramifications of what he has done could have been serious.

I'm sure for some families it could be, but not all families give their children everything they want or pay for all the extras. The best for your child doesn't necessarily have to involve spending money on them. Words like 'need' 'have to' and 'want' probably are very telling. Peer pressure is obviously strong amongst plenty of parents too - Ms Tehan included!

What a waste. People who would love nothing more to be parents and have so much love to give, children who need parents and to be loved. It does seem really unfair when celebrities who can money at the system who make adoption happen fairly quickly. But it's a really tricky situation. Especially with overseas adoption. I read in the paper recently about a couple who had found their ...
