How do you relax before bed?...
Published (2009-11-28 03:48:00)
It is hard to re educate your body clock. I actually do qigong, but I did a course to learn it and I was on a journey of learning more about eastern philosophy - nothing too out there mind you. Some people find meditation is really helpful, as it empties your mind and helps you relax and focus. Valarian and Bach Rescue drops (the sleep ones are good)

Separated stomach muscles
Published (2009-11-24 08:27:00)
Hi I think I have separated stomach muscles from what I have been reading on the internet. Has anyone else had this and had it fixed? What exercises did you do? Did you see a physio? Can you recommend a physio in Sydney? Thanks

Help! Very weak pelvic floor
Published (2009-11-24 08:58:00)
Oh, you poor thing. Sounds like you're having a rough trot! Find a time when you can do your pelvic floor exercises every day and if you don't notice any change after a few weeks, go and see a physio.

PAPSMEARS-ARE YOU DUE FOR ONE?...
Published (2009-11-26 09:15:00)
Have no idea if a HPV DNA test was done have forgotton. But i had 2 6mthly checks done to make sure no more growths had turned up and then was told i could get the check ups done every year or 2 yrs. Have had the gardasil injections when they were free so im not expecting any changes i hope. Might actually pay a visit to my family gp and get it over with.

Help! Very weak pelvic floor
Published (2009-11-24 08:31:00)
I hope someone comes along that can help. I have noticed that my pelvic floor is very weak as well and have been having trouble holding. I have been doing the exercises the hospital suggests but it hasn't been helping.

Separated stomach muscles
Published (2009-11-24 08:34:00)
HI, Did you just have a baby? It happened to me after having my bub as I have a tiny frame and my poor belly got stretched too much. I had to wear a special elastic brace around my stomach and mid-driff for about 4 weeks plus do exercises, and attend physio. Definately go see a physio. Sorry cant really recall the exercises, something like sucking the muscles in, holding, then releasing. Sorry im not from sydney either

I had them with both of my kids. I went to the post natal classes at the hospital and the physio who ran the classes checked them for me. Maybe contact your hospital and see if they can recommend someone? Make sure you don't do any exercise on your abdominal muscles as this does not help.

How do you relax before bed?...
Published (2009-11-27 22:34:00)
haha im 39 weeks preg and im certainly not sleeping well... it takes forever to fall asleep especially in 40 degree weather.... but try creating a routine for yourself. like put kids to bed eat your own dinner watch an episode of something on tv or short movie have a shower or bath and put lavender oil in if you have a bath. and it also helps to rub lavender oil into your temples after shower. make sure your not to hot or cold and go to bed......

Yes, dentist! I did go and she couldn't find the issue but it has become more uncomfortable on and off since then. It's not a nerve pain and is in a tooth that is heavily filled and needs a crown. I've made an appointment with my regular dentist for when we get back home in 5 weeks but just wondering if anything is specifically good for dental pain to help it settle down. I can't even chew ...
