I find that it comes down to attitude mostly. If we don't get along, we don't get along. In my immediate circle of friends, there are some as young as 23 (I'm 29) and some up to 52 and we have a blast, we really do! I'm looking forward to the upcoming Christmas party where most of my friends will come together in a group, we all like the same music, we all have similar parenting styles, and some have adult children even but...

Same Maire. I would not be happy with my 13 year old son dating a 17 year old girl either.

I was happy, despite the drinking i was still happy. When i started feeling unhappy with it all i told him and we tried to work it out, but he didnt change. It really annoys me that being a SAHM is such a valid choice that must be defended at all costs - unless you are single. Why is it okay to be financially dependent on a man but not on the government? I jsut do not get it.

I think its one thing to be considerate and open minded when listening to others POVs but I think that it also requires some common sense when it comes to the advise you take on board and actively persue and the advice you just listen to, nod and smile!
