In reply to a post by knt : Not directly, but since white43 mentioned Vivaciti(Non-Enta) I was just wandering which package it was. It would have been clear if you had clicked the Reply button against white43 . Anyway, all vivaciti Family and packages are Enta. Premium Home is BT-based but seemingly a good supplier/product. The two LLU packages are C & W and Tiscali tails (not resold Tiscali). On the business ones, Premium Office and...

In reply to a post by white43 : What would you say is your monthly usage in GB? Your options non-LLU would be AAISP, IDNet, Newnet, Vivaciti(Non-Enta), TitanADSL, Fast, ICUK, Xilo and several others I can't think of off the top of my head right now! All have good support and speeds....a bit more expensive, but I'm sure there's a package in there suitable for you in the price range you've indicated. BTW -...

In reply to a post by Bidybag : I am with BT at the moment and I have the unlimited package but i am being limited at peek times to something like 1MB because i have used over 100gb bandwidth in the previous month. Every month im using around 200gb which means i am always going to be limited to 1mb because of this.

I *BELIEVE* their office packages are entanet-powered packages. Entanet themselves have had some capacity issues lately, so while the pings remain good, throughput isn't so hot. Therefore you'll struggle with P2P / streaming I think. You might want to drop by the entanet forum (on here), letting people know which exchange you're on and then find out from there.
Cheers,
Blueacid

I imagine the person you spoke to at Plusnet was talking about the connection speed so would be correct. The download throughput is a totally different kettle of fish.
If you can post your line stats we can form a view on what you should be able to get. See Kitz for help if you need it.
There are a number of factors that you may or may not have considered about Plusnet though....

How many of those are reselling Enta packages?
Have you seen the new AAISP pricing for 2010 ? Also this:-
"we are not metering usage for the Christmas period, from 00:00:00 on 25th Dec to 23:59:59 on 1st Jan" .

Biggest facts we need to help, on top of what you've told us is:
1. How much bandwidth do you use a month?
2. When do you use that bandwidth - eg. Office Hours, Evening, Overnight, Weekends.
Different ISPs allow for different amounts of usage at different times of day so knowing your usage pattern is very helpful.

In reply to a post by Anonymous: Currently on Titan O-bit having been with Titan Entanet. Poor speeds and even worse ping on both of these for Xbox live.
Unfilled promises of being moved to Titans own servers (or something like that - not very techy), so now am on lookout for new ISP.
The Vivaciti MurphX one looks good, also considering Plusnet.
Main uses are Xbox live ...

Edit - a later link for AAISP than the two below.
The AAISP charging system changes for 2010 - see this announcement and this new price page .
Basically it seems you buy points to consume when you like. They get consumed at different rates at different times. So you can sort of build your own package.
More conventional, vivaciti Premium Home, though no unmetered period...
