I have the same issue. I use the Sun Java console. I have Comodo Firewall and Sophos AntiVirus (with its own Firewall) but i do not believe it is a firewall issue but a Java interface issue. Any thoughts out there?

In reply to a post by Zinc : I replaced the router and expected my line to stabilise back to the normal 6db after a few days but this has failed to happen.
It can take much longer than a few days.
Some people say 14 days, some say longer. We've seen lines (my own included), to never shift back down to 6db despite having no errors/problems etc.

Always has been .
Your own domain with any email address you like (that's available - for example see my web address in my sig), costs £7.50 every two years from Purple Cloud - also linked in my sig.
Then you can forward to your Newnet address which no-one else needs to know. And you never have to
