Thanks a lot, Billy. Wearysloth deserves most of the plaudits as his compulsive site been a great help to me on many occasions. I even have his page for a film or TV episode on standby when watching something in case I can't identify the actor! A recent example was the Horror film From Beyond the Grave . My problem is with faces rather than names - one of the reasons why 'Actors We Didn't Recognise Until We Saw The...

Interview with Bernard Quote: All the kids like Orinoco - he was always having a little feed and looking forward to tea and supper, and skiving off and having a little sleep. They were lovely to do. There was one who didn't appear that much, MacWomble the Terrible - the Scottish one, second cousin to Great Uncle Bulgaria. He sounded like Bulgaria on something [makes loud MacWomble roaring noise]. Madame Cholet was lovely when she was...

Anyone remember the lovely Caroline Dowdeswell?
She appeared as Captain Mainwaring's bank secretary in early episodes of 'Dad's Army' and was the sexy Angie in 'Man About The House'.
Lovely long legs that reached up to everyones expectations.
Any further pictures greatly appreciated.

Agree for some of the obscurer ones, but the actor / actress lists seem to be partial lists of films and partial lists of TV programmes. In Cherie's case, very partial, more missing than included......

She is still alive and well...She likes to left alone away from the media and attention. I contacted her when I discovered a copy of 'Adventure In The Hopfields'...a film she made in 1953 for The Children's Film Foundation. An incredible actress who 'held' the films together all by herself. In later life she made a Hammer Film entitled 'The Snorkel'...sadly it is never presented on TV...

Yeah, the IMDb has no bio of Bobby, and I couldn't find one elsewhere. Shame. He's like a lot of great child actors (Mary Badham comes instantly to mind) --they simply couldn't find much use for'em, those many unimaginative filmmakers!

[on directing Bobby Henrey in The Fallen Idol (1948)] "A child of eight can't act. I wasn't looking...
