You're waffling for nothing. Just do it. You can keep your fingers crossed in your pocket at oath time like the rest of us did.

Sadly as far as the officer's concerned your intention to stay can easily screw a successful interview... Quote: Originally Posted by ian-mstm Hint - just because a visa does not specifically allow dual intent, it does not necessarily follow that the visa specifically prohibits dual intent. Ian

It is not a waste of money to have a consultation with an experienced immigration attorney about your case. Helps in determining what the various routes are and what pitfalls you might have in your individual instance. Even I had a consultation with an immigration attorney before I took on the petition for a K-1 visa for my now husband. Hey - Thanks for your replies.
Apologies for conflicting with advice though I'm just trying to get a very clear sense of what is and isn't appropriate.
So lets say (using this fake microsoft example again), that I'm going over from the UK to visit Microsoft to have discussions over proposed solutions and business meetings, and as well as visiting prospective clients to perform pre-...

Depends how much time you have.
You have people at work that could help? They would be within driving distance of where you live, presumably (since you do the commute).
Find the quickest way possible to mail your keys to someone at your office that you know and who's willing to drive to your house and mail the greencard and your keys back to you in the UK.
But at a minimum, that ...

Folks thanks for the help.
I did check with our legal dept, they seem to be very certain of the case.
I also checked with couple of other folks who have gone thru similar case/timeline and am comforted.
Thanks for the feedback.
Will use this forum for further future use.

Loser (and you really should pick a better screennam!) usually the number of credit hours a class is corresponds to the number of hours you will be spending in the classroom each week. So a 3credit hour class will likely meet for about 3hrs a week. There are exceptions to the rule of course.

If you go via the H1B visa route, you can not take up your employment until October 2010 I believe. And it is the employer who kicks off the process, not you.
Speak to an Immigration attorney and see what your options are.

You only need to file the I-130 now, indicate you want an immigrant visa processed in Russia, and wait to be contacted by the NVC for the next step which will involve more forms.
The correct way for you to bring your parents is by having the process done in Russia, since they can't come here on a non-immigrant visa with immigrant intent.

Don't see there is anything to worry about some offices take a bit longer than others to process the stuff. Especially as you know it was delivered.
Just looked at someone else who filed with Phoenix on November 5th, check was cashed on 17th no NOA has been received yet. You could call the customer service center on 1-800-375-5283
