Hello I would assume that if you were working contracts, that you would need enough references to align with the yrs being claimed for the points needed in the list jobs being used. I don't actually have personal knowledge, so is opinion only, but all the best anyway.

Question on NOC related job titles

Haniyasin is correct, your job title is not important, it's the 'main duties' that are the vital bit. You'll need to prove (via employment contract, appraisal notes, references etc) that you do these duties as part of your daily job. Hope that helps.

Not done this myself, but from what you say it doesn't sound too hard for you to prove the relationship. The medical issue, I think you would only know if it is ok once the medical is actually done. I expect others with personal experience will be along soon. This is the cic link: http://www.cic.gc.ca/English/immigra...-apply-who. asp

Whats the point in getting the PR card, you wont retain PR status unless you are here for 2 out of 5 years anyway? I suppose its good for a few years of travel, but seems like a lot of fees to pay for that convenience. When you get your British citizenship you can travel without a visa to visit on a british passport. Why complicate things?

yes Ottawa is correct. All medicals go to Ottawa first for review. I believe this is where the medically trained CIC people are assessing your medical file. They are giving London the go and then you'll receive your Request for PR Payment and to send in your passports! You will be done soon! Good luck! BTW I believe it takes about one month from sending the documents to Ottawa until ...

One thing is for certain, you need to have or develop the patience of Job to get through the process. I wouldn't panic yet, just hang on and see what the next 4 weeks bring. However, if you need to you can always get in touch with them via their email. At least it may put your mind at rest. JET
