the E2 doesn't have WiFi built-in, so it can't possibly connect to the router (unless you have a long out of production and not easy to find Palm WiFi SDIO card; no other manufacturers WiFi SDIO cards are compatible ); a new or used TX will have built-in WiFi, as would a used LifeDrive , or Tungsten T|C. They (and the elusive Palm WiFi SDIO card) all communicate on the 802.11b standard.

Need a PDA Model for developement
Published (2008-11-20 14:22:00)
The iPAQ 100 (110/11X) and 200 (210/21X) models use a PXA310, actually. The Marvell XScale PXA300 is completely interchangable with the Intel XScale PXA270; Marvell purchased XScale technology from Intel and chose to redesign minor Intel-proprietary elements in their own version of the PXA270. I suspect that many newer devices claiming a PXA270 actually use a PXA300, but advertise the PXA270 because it is generally more widely recognized. The...

My new Intermec 6651
Published (2008-11-20 20:30:00)
Almost all newer devices run on some form of Intel/Marvell StrongARM (Almost all Palm and WinMo devices), Ti OMAP (rarer - a couple of Palm PDAs and a few WM devices), or 'iSamsung' ARM-based processors (like the iThings). So there aren't really any recent devices made with MIPS, PowerPC, or other architectures. http://www.freewareppc.com has some older MIPS-based software, but the site is ad-ridden.

The only way to connect your E2 to Wi-Fi is by using your laptop as a gateway. Your E2 will connect to your laptop via Bluetooth and your laptop will connect to your router and the internet over Wi-Fi. Your laptop will need to be turned-on and will need some software to allow the E2 to use its internet connection. As far as I know, this software is free. Can't remembet what it is called but I'm sure someone remember. There may even...

Palm TX Expense button

On the Tx , the Expense program is stored on ROM. You wouldn't be able to delete it... Can you double check your INFO and see if Expense is listed? On the desktop, I've seen where certain versions of the Palm desktop won't have the Expense feature. For instance, if you use the desktop by ACESS that comes with the Centro , the conduit and feature doesn't exist. The same is true for the desktop version for the TE. Calculator...

so today i got myself a samsung A711 for the sole purpose of using it as a modem for my iPAQ 210 . Now I must ask, How on earth do I go about doing that? I tried using the 210's BT Phone Manager and was fine until i got to a point where it said that the phone offered several options. There was Telstra (the main service provider in Australia) and there was Telstra - Datapack and some other ...

I need a PDA that I can use outside in relatively bright sunlight. Prefer VGA or WVGA resolution. Sunlight readability is really the most important feature. Can anyone make a recommendation? Thanks, Rob McC
