HTC Hero Replacement Will Launch...
Published (2009-12-06 13:31:00)
The HTC Hero is HTC's flagship Android-powered smartphone, but it's been around since this summer, and a successor is on the way. A high-level company executive says this device will debut in just a couple of months. Patrik Andersson, the head of HTC in Sweden, revealed that the replacement for the Hero will be unveiled at the Mobile World Congress tradeshow in February. This model will be released in Europe shortly after that....

Nokia E72 Released in North America
Published (2009-12-04 09:15:00)
Following its release in Europe before Thanksgiving, the Nokia E72 is now available for the North American market. This Symbian-powered smartphone is an update to the very popular E71 model, and has the same general design: a tablet with a small keyboard below its display. It's currently being offered from the Nokia online store for $470. Some other online retailers who are charging a bit less -- Amazon.com is asking $415, for...

AT&T Drops Lawsuit Over...

It's VERY clear that they are only talking about 3G coverage. I guess maybe ATT DID have something to worry about, since so many people seem to misinterpret the ads. Someone on the Times Blogs thought it had to do with how many 'bars' your phone got.

Nokia E72 Released in North America

I was temped, honestly..but with Symbian^2 coming soon, I'd like to hold off. To bad Nokia won't give some deals on software upgrade for the big upcoming hardware(this, N97 mini)

Frankly, that was my impression, as well, Mi An, when I first started seriously looking for a new device a few months ago. They've simply not had the "brand recognition" to match their actual market presence since most of it has been "behind the scenes."

Published (2009-12-01 19:49:00)
I hope no one minds this four-month-old thread bump, but I have a reason for doing so. Four months is plenty of time to make a device review, especially one of the excellent quality, depth, and objectiveness one tends to find here on Brighthand. I don't know if Samsung failed to deliver a review unit even with the reminder or what, but I've been looking for a high-quality Mondi review for a while. However, coverage on ANYTHING...

I have the MBLY/8GB model (Class 4): http://www.kingston.com/warranty "Lifetime warranty on card, Two-Year warranty on reader" in USA Some reviewers on Amazon have noted an overheating-failure issue & I've noticed that on some notebooks the USB adapter does get hot quickly while on others no heat after hours so on the notebooks where it gets hot, I transfer the data quickly & don't leave it longer than...

Why Verizon? They're too expensive to sign up. T-mobile is way cheaper. I
would keep my G1 except for the stupid lack of a 3.5 jack. I guess a Dragon
processor would be a big plus also...

I am quite looking forward to it. I finally got around to trying the 1.5 version of SenseUI today and really did like it aside for the 1.5 sluggishness here and there.

I'd be pretty interested in the battery life results once you get that far with your review. Pocketnow was very, very psyched about the Omnia Pro's battery life, savings in which they attributed to the OLED screen tech it shares with the Omnia 2.

Brew. Yuck.
You thought the iPhone was locked down? Imagine the App Store remaining the only outlet for applications, but with a selection of just fifteen celebrity tracking apps for $2.99...a month.
Think I'll pass on this one.

I keep flipping between TouchFlo3D 2 on my Sprint TP and SPB MS3. They each have areas where they excel and fall back. Sense is looking nice, but it's too bad they won't drop that stupid analog flip clock.
Really though, I wish Sprint would let me get a Pre on my cell phone plan. Oh well!

Like the price of the pico projector; but the specs make me wonder. Should
be an interesting device nevertheless - I wonder if the WM6.5 version with
the different Start bar will be on this, of if it will be a totally custom
LG UI.

Ed, nice review...
Looks to be almost identical in size to the old HP Jornadas: 3.7" screen, 6 ounce weight and 0.5" thick. With regards to MS Office, I wonder if there is a version of Open Office for this device? Great device, too bad I'm locked into an AT&T contract...

LOL! Sorry, I couldn't help myself. Let me get this straight. Palm is considering allowing users the ability to install as many apps as their device's memory will hold?! And this is considered a great advancement or something? Wow! shaking head in disbelief. I'm surprised that Palm has allowed users to use the on/off switch in such an early version of the webOS. shaking head in ...
