Yes it is a PE. Why? because the
rule book says it is. (sorry not trying to be a smart a$$ just the way the game is played)

What's not fake about putting weights in the corners of an
unbuttoned shirt? The rule book gives the criteria for concealment garments. If whatever you wear meets those guidelines you're good to go; however, if you want to win at the game of IDPA someday, find a good vest and use it. There's nothing fake about them.

QUOTE (EMTCurly @ Aug 30 2009, 03:23 PM) I'm still new to
IDPA so forgive me if this is TOO easy of a question...but are BUG guns limited strictly to special BUG only matches or can they be used in any local match at any time? I realize that if its a Regional or National match there may be restrictions, but I'm just curious about their place in regular routine local matches. Thanks...

I used one for a couple years, It didnt
hold me back any, but I only shot indoor matches on a 25yard total range so never had any long shots. Because standard capacity is 9+1 you frequently get an advantage over 10+1 stages, I think a 5" .40 SS would be ideal though, you get the bigger holes, longer sight radius and still get the 9+1 advantage.

You may not shoot a 9mm barrel in a .40 gun in SSP. Opinions vary as to whether it is allowable in ESP. I doubt anybody would care on a
local basis.

Can't see all the targets but looks like a procedural to me. He crossed an
open space and exposed himself to targets that had not been engaged yet. Doesn't matter if the gun was loaded or empty, he broke cover.
