Almost went to Crawley. http://www.thisissussex.co.uk/sport/...l/article.html Quote: An agreement was reached with Shrews manager Paul Simpson and the player but the Crawley board stopped the deal when they found out what Elder was earning. A wild stab in the dark says that Nathan is homesick.

Charlie Oatway

Former Bees' midfield terrier, Charlie Oatway, has been promoted to first team coach at Brighton by new boss Gus Poyet. The 36-year-old was previously community officer and a part-time coach with the Albion. His son plays for Bognor Regis Town, from where we signed Andy Woon back in the early 1970s.

We've touched on this already in the Ex-Bees thread. I've always thought Sidwell would go to the very top (but am disappointed that means Chelski). The Special One needs cover for the African Cup of Nations and the Russian One will cough up enough money to stop Sidwell worrying whether or not he will get more chances than SWP.

Why do you want them to go down? Just because they signed Cullip who used to play for QPR? He used to play for us too.
If DJ went to QPR, would you welcome him back, and if he did come back, would you want us to go down for signing an ex QPR player?
I hope Gillingham stay up..

Last week Ben Futcher / Efe Sodje, this week Matt Heywood / Richard Hope. I'd be happy if either of those pairing were in our side rather than theirs.
